Pakistan Qualify For Super 8: Pakistan has defeated Namibia by 102 runs. With this, Pakistan has confirmed its place in the Super-8 of the 2026 T20 World Cup. In this match played in Colombo, Pakistan, batting first, scored 199 runs. Sahibzada Farhan played a century innings. While chasing the huge target, Namibia’s team could score only 97 runs.

Pakistan has now become the eighth and last team to go to the Super-8 of T20 World Cup 2026. Other 7 teams including India and Zimbabwe had already entered the next stage. Sahibzada Farhan’s 100 runs and the brilliant performance of the bowlers had an important contribution in this big victory of Pakistan.

Sahibzada Farhan had scored 100 runs in 58 balls for the Pakistan team who came to bat first. Captain Salman Aga scored 38 runs and in the last overs, Shadab Khan batted stormily and scored 36 runs. In this innings, one four and 3 sixes came from his bat.

Namibia’s batting, which came to chase the big target of 200 runs, completely disintegrated. Apart from Lauren Steenkamp and Alexander Wolschenk, no other Namibian batsman could touch double figures in terms of runs. Namibia had lost 4 wickets within the first 49 runs. The team had made a comeback, but the Namibian team lost the last 6 wickets within just 18 runs.

The most successful bowler for Pakistan was Usman Tariq, who took a total of 4 wickets. Shadab Khan also managed to dismiss 3 batsmen. Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Mirza also took one wicket each. Before Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, West Indies, England, New Zealand and South Africa had secured their place in the Super-8.

T20 World Cup Super 8 Teams: Seven teams have appeared in the Super-8 stage in the 2026 T20 World Cup. Both the co-host countries of the tournament i.e. India and Sri Lanka have also qualified for the next stage. On Tuesday, Zimbabwe vs Ireland match was canceled due to rain. Due to this, Australia is out of the T20 World Cup, while Zimbabwe has become the seventh team to go to the Super-8. Seven teams of Super-8 confirmed

Till now a total of 7 teams have entered the Super-8 stage. Their names India, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, West Indies, England, South Africa and New Zealand have confirmed their place in the next stage. Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe have qualified from Group B, while Australia is out. West Indies and England have reached Super-8 from Group C, while South Africa and New Zealand have qualified from Group D.

Now all eyes are on Group A, out of which India has already entered the Super-8. There is a war between Pakistan and USA for the second slot. Currently in Group A, both USA and Pakistan have four points each. But Pakistan is far behind in terms of net run-rate.

Pakistan’s last match in the group stage will be with Namibia on 18 February. If Pakistan team wins this match then it will qualify for Super-8, whereas if Namibia defeats Pakistan then USA will write a new history by going to Super-8.
