Pakistan-Afghanistan War: Air strike has taken place in Paktika province of Afghanistan. This attack was carried out by Pakistan on the late night of 17 October 2025, in which three local cricketers of Afghanistan cricket were killed. Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is saddened by the death of its players Kabir, Sibgatullah and Haroon. Condemning this attack, ACB has refused to participate in the triangular series played in Pakistan. This series was to be held between Pakistan, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka from 17 to 29 November. Along with this, Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan has also decided to withdraw from Pakistan Super League.

Afghanistan Board’s action on PAK

Afghanistan Cricket Board has withdrawn its name from the series to be held at the end of November. This triangular series in Pakistan was to be played in Lahore and Rawalpindi. But ACB has taken this decision against Pakistan on the death of players.

Rashid Khan breaks ties with PSL

Afghanistan cricket team captain Rashid Khan is seen playing in Pakistan Super League (PSL). But after this attack, Rashid Khan has indicated to withdraw from PSL team ‘Lahore Qalandars’. Rashid Khan has removed the name of Lahore Qalandars from his bio on the account of social media platform X. Rashid plays for Gujarat Titans in IPL and the name of the franchise of this league played in India is included in the bio of this player.

Rashid Khan has paid tribute to the citizens of Afghanistan who died in the airstrike. Along with this, the decision of Afghanistan Cricket Board has also been supported. Rashid has written that he is standing with the people of his country at this time.

Pak army’s terror continues for 10 days

In the last 10 days, Pakistani Army has targeted many residential areas of Afghanistan in the name of attacking TTP positions. According to UN data, 37 civilians were killed and 425 injured due to Pakistani attacks in Paktika, Kunar, Khost, Kandahar and Hemland alone, while according to Afghanistan’s Taliban government data, 5 people were killed in the Pakistani attack in Kabul and 10 people have died in the attacks at 3 places in Paktika yesterday. That is, till now in just 10 days, Pakistani Army has killed 52 innocent people of Afghanistan and injured more than 425 people.

Pakistani Army claims

The Pakistani Army is continuously claiming that it is carrying out attacks in Afghanistan to target the bases of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its chief Noor Wali Mehsud, but in the picture taken last Thursday (16 October 2025), it was clear that TTP chief Noor Wali Mehsud is not camping in Afghanistan but in Tirah Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan.
