Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has indicated to start repairing the hangar at its Bholari airbase, which was heavily damaged in the Indian Air Force (IAF) attack on 10 May 2025. This attack took place during the short but serious 88-hour war between India and Pakistan.

According to the report of NDTV, in the new satellite pictures taken by the commercial satellite company Vantor on January 28, it has been seen that some part of the roof of the hangar has been removed. This makes it clear that now this place has not been abandoned like this, but preparations for repair have started. Although the hangar still looks quite dilapidated, removing the roof is considered to be the first step.

When was the attack on Bholari airbase?

The Indian Air Force believes that a special surveillance aircraft of Pakistan was present inside this hangar. This aircraft works to provide information about enemy air attacks and show direction to other aircraft. If this aircraft is really destroyed then it will be considered a big loss for Pakistan. The attack on Bholari airbase took place between 10 am and 12 noon on 10 May. At that time, the Indian Air Force had simultaneously attacked many military bases of Pakistan. This action was taken in response to drone attacks by Pakistan and attempts to target Indian targets. India named this entire campaign as Operation Sindoor.

What caused the attack on Bholari?

The Indian Air Force did not reveal what weapon was used to attack Bholari, but it is believed that long-range modern missiles were used, so that the target could be destroyed without the aircraft crossing the border. Just hours after the Bholari attack, Pakistan talked about ceasefire with India. There were talks between the military officials of the two countries in the evening and on the same day it was agreed to stop the war, although it took about two days for complete peace to return to the border. Sindh Chief Minister later said that six Pakistan Air Force soldiers were killed in this attack. The repairs started at Bholari airbase show how deep the impact of this attack was.

Account of IAF attacks

At least 10 military positions in Pakistan were targeted in IAF operations that began on the night of 9 May. Chaklala, Rahwali, Rafiki, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Murid and Nayachor were attacked between 2 and 5 am on 10 May. After this, between 10 am to 12 noon, Sargodha, Bholari and Jacobabad were targeted by the Indian Air Force.

The four-day military confrontation between India and Pakistan in May 2025 still remains a topic of discussion. In this conflict, Operation Sindoor launched by India has caused huge damage to many important military bases of Pakistan. The most discussed among these was Noor Khan Airbase located in Rawalpindi, the special thing is that Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar publicly admitted for the first time that Noor Khan Airbase was damaged in Indian drone attacks. After this confession, the question arose in the minds of people that who was Noor Khan, in whose name such an important airbase of Pakistan is built. So let us know who was Noor Khan, in whose name the Pakistani airbase was destroyed by India in Operation Sindoor.

Who was Noor Khan?

Noor Khan was not just an army officer, but he was one of the few. Who have played an important role in the air forces of both India and Pakistan. His life started with the Indian Air Force and has reached the post of Chief of the Pakistan Air Force. Interestingly, in the last years of his life, he openly criticized many military policies of Pakistan. Noor Khan was born in 1923. When India and Pakistan were a single country, he studied at the Royal Indian Military College and was commissioned as a pilot officer in the undivided Indian Air Force (IAF) on 6 January 1941.

At that time, there were very few Indian officers in the Indian Air Force, but Noor Khan was considered a very talented and courageous pilot from the beginning. He took flying training on aircraft such as Westland Wapiti, Hawker Hart and Hawker Audax. During World War II he flew many risky missions on the India-Burma front. His fellow officers say that Noor Khan had a passion for flying and he never shied away from flying the most difficult aircraft.

Selection of Pakistan Air Force after partition

At the time of partition of the country in 1947, Noor Khan had a choice. India or Pakistan, his native region had gone to Pakistan and many of his fellow officers were also going to Pakistan Air Force, so he chose Pakistan Air Force (PAF). His career in Pakistan progressed rapidly and in 1965 he became Air Chief Marshal of Pakistan Air Force. Noor Khan was the chief of Pakistan Air Force during the 1965 war. Later he himself admitted that this war was started by Pakistan and the country was not fully prepared for it. However, he also admitted that in post-war Pakistan, propaganda was promoted instead of truth and an impartial review was never conducted. According to him, if the right lessons had been learned from that war, a major defeat like 1971 could have been avoided.

Noor Khan became a critic of Pakistan’s policies

In the last years of his life, Noor Khan became a major critic of Pakistan’s military thinking. He openly said that the 1965 war was Pakistan’s fault, India had only acted in self-defence. India-Pakistan war was not a war of any religion. He also said that the root of Pakistan’s problems lies in its military thinking and repeatedly adopting the path of war.

Noor Khan Airbase and Operation Vermillion

The airbase named after Noor Khan is a major military base of Pakistan. The Indian Air Force targeted this airbase during Operation Sindoor in May 2025. Now Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has also accepted that this airbase was damaged in Indian drone attacks and the soldiers deployed there were injured. It is, in a way, a paradox of history that decades later, the airbase named after a person who once served the country in the Indian Air Force was targeted by India in a military action.

Floods and landslides caused by Cyclone Ditva in Sri Lanka have killed 132 people, 176 people are missing and 78 thousand have been displaced. Meanwhile, Pakistan sent humanitarian aid to Sri Lanka, which has become a cause of international controversy. The food items and medicines sent by Pakistan to help the people of Sri Lanka have expiry date 2024 written on them.

Sri Lankan officials said that Pakistan had sent medicines, food packets and some essential items for the flood victims, many of which had expired. Sri Lanka’s disaster management and foreign affairs departments have called it a matter of grave concern and have sought a formal explanation from Pakistan.

Cyclone Ditva wreaked havoc in Sri Lanka on November 28, in which 132 people died, 176 people went missing and 78 thousand people were displaced. Amidst this disaster, Pakistan, claiming brotherhood, announced immediate assistance and on 29 November, a Pakistani Navy ship reached Colombo port carrying several tons of relief material. This includes food packets, medicines, first aid kit, dry ration, tents and other essential items.

On November 30, the Embassy of Pakistan in Sri Lanka posted a post and wrote, ‘Relief packages from Pakistan were successfully delivered to the flood affected brothers and sisters of Sri Lanka. This is a symbol of our unbreakable unity. Pakistan always stands with Sri Lanka. When Sri Lankan officials examined the goods, many packets were found to have an expiry date of 2024. Medical supplies and food items were found spoiled. After the matter came to light, the Pakistan Embassy deleted the post.

Sri Lanka’s disaster management and foreign affairs departments have expressed serious concern over this. Officials have expressed their displeasure with Islamabad both formally and informally. Officials say that when the country is going through such a dire situation, this incident has raised doubts on Pakistan’s honesty and capability in sending relief material.

On the other hand, India has allowed Pakistan to use Indian airspace to send relief material to Sri Lanka. This is an important development between the two countries after Operation Sindoor. However, earlier Pakistani media had claimed that New Delhi had refused to allow Pakistani aircraft to enter its airspace, while Indian officials said that Pakistan’s request had been processed within a few hours.

According to officials, on the same day at around 1 pm on December 1, Pakistan had given a formal request to fly in Indian airspace and after four hours it was given clearance. He said that it was processed with a minimum notice period of 4 hours.

Dangerous JF-17 fighter aircraft, which is said to be the strength of Pakistan’s Air Force, is flying in the skies of Azerbaijan. After which the market of rumors has become hot. Pakistani Army has issued a statement regarding this matter. In the statement, Pakistani Army said that JF-17 Block III fighter aircraft of PAK Air Force have arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in bilateral air exercises. This joint air exercise reflects the growing military relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

However, after Pakistani fighter planes were seen in the skies of Azerbaijan, there was speculation that Azerbaijan had received a new batch of fighter jets. But the Pakistani Army exposed the truth by issuing a statement in this regard.

Pakistan busy in showing the power of JF-17 jet

According to the Eurasian Times report, the Pakistani Army said in its statement that the Pakistan Air Force’s participation in the Indus Shield Alpha exercise also reflects the PAK Air Force’s commitment towards regional stability and global military cooperation. Emphasizing this, the Pak Army said that its JF-17 fighter planes have been flying non-stop from its airbase located in Pakistan to Azerbaijan. Through which Pakistan is displaying the power of JF-17 fighter aircraft built in collaboration with China.

What is the agreement between Pakistan and Azerbaijan,

Mutual relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan are very close. This can be evidenced by the fact that when Pakistan was involved in a military conflict with India in the month of May, the names of Turkey as well as Azerbaijan were among the countries supporting Pakistan.

At the same time, a military agreement worth $4.6 billion has been signed between these two countries for 40 JF-17 Block III fighter planes. Keeping in mind its tension with Armenia, Azerbaijan has made a deal for fighter planes with Pakistan. This deal is under Pakistan’s Aeronautical Complex, which is the biggest export order for it till date.

India and Russia have been strategic partners for decades. The S-400 missile defense system, SU-30 MKI jets and BrahMos missile projects are examples of this deep relationship. In July 2025, Russia offered India for SU-57 and technology transfer, which India considered a major achievement. Often both countries have been called strategic brothers, but recently Russia has taken a step that has raised questions on the strength of India-Russia relations.

Russia decided to supply RD-93MA engine to JF-17 Thunder Fighter Jets to Pakistan despite India’s strict objections. The deal is part of the joint JF-17 program of Pakistan and China. Pakistan Air Force will be stronger than before before the Block-III variant gets the Block-III variant. India fears that these jets may be used against him, especially after the Pahalgam attack of April 2025 and India’s counter -action after Operation Sindoor. Let us know that the RD-93 engine has been created by the famous Russian company Climov Design Bureau. It was mainly designed for Mikoyan MiG-29 fighter jet.

Political impact on India
Defense experts believe that Pakistan does not have a direct military challenge for India, but it definitely affects the regional balance. Pakistan’s Air Force will get psychological and strategic strength. India will have to pursue its air defense and fighter jet programs faster. It is a matter of concern for India that its most trusted partner is now seen playing double games.

Russia’s economic and political interests
Many reasons are being given behind this move of Russia. Russia has put economic pressure on Russia from western countries, from which Russia has taken such a step to recover. Pakistan and China’s JF-17 program is becoming popular in the global weapon market. Azerbaijan has recently made a 4 of $ 4.6 billion deal. Because of this, it has become a source of a revenue. Russia does not want China’s WS-13 engine to be completely reliable instead of RD-93MA, so it wants to maintain its importance in this region. Since 2014, defense cooperation between Russia and Pakistan has increased, such as Mi-35 helicopter deal. Russia sees Pakistan as emerging market.

India comforted Russia
Russia has tried to assure India that this deal with Pakistan is small. The offerings offered to India are somewhere big and strategic-such as SU-57e, SU-35M and AL-31FP engine production. Defense cooperation between India and Russia will be deep and long -term.

JF-17 Thunder’s specialty
JF-17 Thunder is a fourth generation light, single-engine, multirol fighter jet. It was jointly developed by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and China’s Chengdu aircraft corporation (CAC). Its objective was to change old fighter aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) like A-5C, F-7P/PG, Mirage III and Mirage V. This jet can play a variety of roles. This can prove to be effective for air war, ground attack and reconnaissance mission.

A surprising news has come out from Afghanistan. Pakistan has attacked many places. It has targeted Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. Pak Air Force has done airplace in Shanwar and Achin districts. Internet and mobile networks have been closed in Afghanistan for the last two days. For this reason, information has not come out yet.

According to sources, Pakistani Air Force on Tuesday (September 30) launched an aerial attack to 12 places. He has targeted many places including Achin and Shinwar. No official statement has been revealed by the Taliban government of Afghanistan about this matter yet. Internet has been banned in the country, that is why photos or videos are not seen anywhere.

Bomb blast in Pakistan

India had taught Pakistan a good lesson during Operation Sindoor, but still it is not able to sit in peace. There was a recent bomb blast in Quetta, Pakistan, in which 10 people died. It is being claimed that some army soldiers have also been killed in this blast. Many people have also been injured in a big fidayeen attack near the headquarters of Pakistani Paramilitary Force Frontier Coppers. Pakistan launched an airplane in Afghanistan after this blast.

How do Pakistan-Afghanistan have relationships

The relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have never been stable. Along with the border dispute between these two countries, there have been more issues. After coming to the Taliban government in Afghanistan, relations with Pakistan became worse. Pakistan never openly supported the Taliban government. Along with this, there is also a dispute between the two about the Durand Rekha. Now Pakistan has made the atmosphere more heated by organizing aircraft in Afghanistan.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while giving a speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday (26 September), claimed that the Pakistani Air Force killed 7 Indian fighter jets in a military conflict with India this year and made them ‘junk’.

Shahbaz Sharif praised his pilots

Shahbaz Sharif, praising his pilots, called him a ‘hawk’ and said that our Falcons flew and dropped 7 Indian aircraft. However, Pakistan has been claiming to drop 5 aircraft of the Indian Air Force earlier, but India has always described these things as baseless and devoid of evidence.

Sharif accused India

Sharif alleged that in May 2025, India attacked Pakistan under ‘Operation Sindoor’. This operation was started on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack (in which 26 innocent people were killed). Sharif said that India used to take political advantage of the incident.

In the retaliation taken by India, air strikes and missile attacks were carried out at 9 locations in Pakistan and PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir). India ensured that the target is just a terrorist structure, there should not be an attack on citizens and army. Later, there was a ceasefire between the two countries, when Pakistan’s DGMO contacted the Indian DGMO.

Sharif praises Trump

Earlier, Sharif and Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir met US President Donald Trump at the White House. This was a Pakistani Prime Minister’s first American visit in the last six years. Sharif praised Trump as a ‘man of peace “and said that his efforts made a ceasefire possible in India and Pakistan.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have recently signed a strategic mutual defense agreement. Under this, if any one country is attacked, it will be considered an attack on both countries. This agreement is reached when tension has increased in the Gulf region. India has reacted to the agreement and said that it will study its regional and global influences deeply.

Speaking on this defense deal, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif has said that if there is a war between India and Pakistan, then Saudi Arabia will also be involved in this war. In such a situation, let us know which country’s Air Force is stronger. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia fighter jets stand in front of India’s Rafael and Sukhoi.

According to the Global Firepower Report 2025, India ranks fourth. India is the fourth largest military power in the world after America, Russia and China. Pakistan is ranked 12th and Saudi Arabia is 24th. It is clear that India is among the global top 5 military forces, while Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are far behind it.

India’s Air Force Capacity

India has a total of 514 fighter aircraft. It includes Sukhoi-30 MKI, Rafael, MiG-29, Mirage-20,000 and Tejas (LCA) as the major fighter jet. The number of special mission aircraft is 74. India recently showed the capacity of Rafale aircraft in Operation Sindoor. The pair of Rafael and Sukhoi-30 MKI proves to be heavy on the Airforce of both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan’s Air Force Capacity

Pakistan has a total of 328 fighter jets. The main aircraft are JF-17 Thunder (146), F-16 Fighting Falcon (75), Mirage III and Mirage 5 (87), as well as F-7PG and J-10 met from China. Pakistan is fine in number, but the lack of technology and modern equipment leads it back from India.

Saudi Arabia’s Air Force Capacity

Saudi Arabia has 283 fighter jets. The main fighter jet is Boeing F-15e Strike Eagle, Panavia Tornado, Eurofighter Typhoon (72) and F-15C. Sudi Arabia’s Air Force is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and has strong defense relations with Western countries. However, in number, it lags behind both India and Pakistan.

Who is the most powerful?

India clearly holds the strongest Air Force compared to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Pakistan is ahead of Saudi Arabia in number, but is behind in technology. At the same time, Saudi Arabia is technically ahead of Pakistan due to modern jets, despite being behind. Although the two countries have fourth generation fighter jets, India has an advanced fighter jet Rafael of 4.5th generation, in front of which JF-17 of Pakistan does not stay anywhere.

Mirage 5 Rose III fighter aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) crashed near Sargodha on Tuesday (September 09, 2025). The pilot on the training flight could not control the aircraft and the aircraft fiercely collided with the ground below. It is being told that there is a possibility of stall (losing the pace of the aircraft) in the flight between the aircraft, due to which this accident happened.

Mirage 5 aircraft problems are old
Mirage 5 aircraft was designed by Dasault Aviation in the 1960s. It was later upgraded under Pakistan’s Rose (Retrofit of Strike Element) program. Despite this, this aircraft has always been disputed in terms of safety. Since 2012, at least 15 Mirage 5 aircraft have crashed, in which 9 pilots also lost their lives.

Miraj is called “Widow Maker”
According to experts, Mirage 5 aircraft is often called “Widow Maker”. Its specialty is that this stall-spin is very sensitive to events. This means that due to obstruction in air flow, the aircraft starts moving uncontrollably, which is very difficult to stop, no matter how experienced the pilot is.

Modern challenges from old design
Analysts say that even though Mirage 5 has been upgraded, its old design is unable to keep pace with modern aviation requirements. Due to this, such accidents occur from time to time in flights. Pakistan’s army is keeping a close watch on this situation and intensive investigation is going on for further action. Investigating officers who reached the spot after the accident have also collected samples from there. There has been no comment from Pakistan Air Force regarding the incident.

In Operation Sindoor, the Indian Air Force completely destroyed many airbase of neighboring Pakistan. Aircraft Marshal AP Singh itself gave evidence of how much damage Pakistan was damaged in this operation. Showing the attacks related to the attack, Air Chief Marshal killed at least six aircraft of Pakistan in Operation Sindoor, including F-16.

Air Chief Marshal showed pictures before and after Operation Sindoor, which is clearly known how accurately the Indian Air Force left no stone unturned to ruin the airbase of the enemy country. The Indian Air Force (IAF) made a comprehensive plan to make this mission fast, accurate and decisive. Air Chief Marshal AP Singh took over the command of this campaign and ensured that the enemy’s important military capabilities suffered maximum damage in a short time.

Operation Sindoor took place after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 innocent tourists were killed by terrorists associated with Pakistan. The incident was not only a emotional shock for India, but also a strategic warning that it is necessary to answer not only on the diplomatic platform, but also at the military level.

Pakistan’s military bases attacked

During the operation, the Indian Air Force targeted many important airbase and military establishments in Pakistan. These include Arifwala, Chunion, Bholari Airbase, Jacobabad and Sargodha.

Chunian: There were clear burns in the picture of the destroyed radar head, which completely eliminated its functionality.

Bholari Airbase: The AEW & C hangar was targeted, where there was possibly an AWACS platform. This attack was a direct attack on Pakistan’s air monitoring capacity.

Jacobabad: More than half of the main hangar with f-16 fighter aircraft was destroyed. This led to a serious shock to Pakistan’s air retaliation.

Sargodha: The airbase was targeted on the basis of accurate intelligence information, where F-16 aircraft were deployed. Many fighter jets of Pakistan were destroyed here.

S-400 gave big shocks to Pakistan

The Russian S-400 air defense system proved to be decisive in the success of this mission. Its long -distance firepower kept Pakistan’s aircraft and UAVs away from Indian air base. According to Air Chief Marshal Singh, this operation proves that air power in modern war is a source of early, accurate and effective response. It has the ability to make a safe return by attacking up to large targets without ground damage.
