India strongly condemned Pakistan’s air strikes in the border areas of Afghanistan, calling it a deliberate and unprovoked attack and a direct threat to regional peace and stability. Many civilians have died in Pakistan’s attack. India expressed deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

‘A major threat to regional stability’

The Indian Foreign Ministry said in its statement, ‘India strongly condemns Pakistan’s air strikes in Afghanistan, in which many civilians, including women and children, have lost their lives. This open aggression of Pakistan is an attack on the sovereignty of Afghanistan and a direct threat to regional peace and stability.

The ministry said, ‘India expresses its condolences to the Afghan families who have lost their loved ones and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured. It also reiterates its unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Afghanistan. The Foreign Ministry also said in a statement, ‘This reflects Pakistan’s continued irresponsible behavior and its futile attempt to link its internal failures to external causes through desperate acts of violence outside its borders.’

Pakistan said on Monday (June 29) that its security forces killed 29 militants near the Afghan border. Meanwhile, due to increasing tension, Pakistan and Afghanistan called each other’s diplomatic representatives and lodged a protest.

Afghanistan made these allegations

Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry, in a post on ‘X’, alleged that 36 civilians, including women and children, were killed and 163 others were injured in Pakistan’s air strikes on residential areas. It described these attacks as a violation of international law, humanitarian principles and the sovereignty of Afghanistan. Pakistan has not immediately reacted to these allegations of Afghanistan.
