Vladimir Putin India Visit: Russian President Vladimir Putin is coming to India this evening for his two-day visit. This is his first visit to India after the start of the Ukraine war. Meanwhile, a question is being raised as to which way Putin’s aircraft will arrive. However, air routes are kept completely confidential for any leader of the world. But by analyzing geopolitical patterns, no-fly rules and VIP aviation protocols, it can be estimated which possible corridors their aircraft can use while flying from Moscow to India.

potential main route

The most likely, shortest and safest route between Moscow and New Delhi is to fly through the Central Asian region. The aircraft will start its journey from inside Russia’s large airspace and then move towards the south. It is expected to pass through Kazakhstan, Russia’s nearest country, and then through Uzbekistan or Tajikistan, depending on the airlines allowed for that day. From there the flights usually go to the upper altitude corridor of Afghanistan. After crossing this area, the aircraft will easily enter Indian airspace and land towards New Delhi. This route is generally considered the most practical because it avoids European restrictions, reduces flight hours, and relies on airspace that is open and cooperative to Russia.

another way

If Russia wants to avoid Afghan airspace due to security alert or weather, then there is another way. From Moscow the aircraft will go from Kazakhstan to Turkistan and proceed to Iran. This route from Iran goes towards Oman or international air space over the Arabian Sea. After this it reaches India towards Gujarat and Rajasthan. This corridor is often used by government aircraft. This is because Iran has stable diplomatic relations with both Russia and India.

long but safe path

For these high profile visits where geopolitical safety is given more priority than flight time, sometimes a third route is chosen. In such circumstances, Putin’s aircraft will pass from Kazakhstan via Azerbaijan and then cover a long distance over Iran before going towards Oman or UAE boundary zone. After this it will finally enter India through the Arabian Sea. This corridor allows flights to bypass all areas under NATO control and avoid stable conflict zones.

The Indian Air Force is going to exercise about a three-day (till 19-21 August) of LoC adjacent to Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) amid the ongoing tension from Pakistan since Operation Sindoor. In this regard, the Indian Air Force has issued a notem.

This is the first time after Operation Sindoor that the Indian Air Force is going to do any exercise in Jammu and Kashmir. So far, the Air Force air exercises have been done in Gujarat and Rajasthan many times, but for the first time in the northern region.

IAF Did not give any information about exercise

No official information has been revealed by the Indian Air Force (IAF) about this exercise. But it is believed that Srinagar and Avantipura Airbase of Jammu and Kashmir can be involved in this exercise. A warning has also been issued for the areas of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh adjacent to Jammu and Kashmir in the notice to Airman (NOM) issued by the Air Force. In such a situation, it is believed that Ambala Airbase (Haryana) adjacent to Adampur, Halwara and Himachal in Punjab can also participate in exercise.

Pakistan will come under tension"/>

This poll will run from 1.30 pm on Tuesday (August 19) to Thursday (August 21) from 5.30 am. During this time, flying of any kind of civil or (of any other country) military aircraft in this area will be completely banned.

US Secretary of State expressed apprehension

At the same time, on Sunday (August 17, 2025), America’s Foreign Secretary (Minister) Marco Rubio feared a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Rubio had said that America, India and Pakistan are monitoring.

Pakistan’s 11 airbase in Operation Sindoor destroyed

The special thing is that since Operation Sindoor, many airbases of Pakistan have been closed and are not able to do the operation. Because the Indian Air Force had destroyed 11 airbase of Pakistan in its airstrikes. On August 16, the Pakistani Air Force issued a notice saying that Rahim Yar Khan Airbase is closed till 22 August. Because during Operation Sindoor, the runway of this airbase was destroyed by the Indian Air Force. Many feet deep pits were formed on the runway.

No fly zone declared 4,790 km in Indian Ocean region

Apart from the Air Force’s polls, India has also issued a notem for a long distance missile test on 20-21 August. In this poll, a no fly zone of about 4,790 km has been declared in the Indian Ocean region. The test will be conducted from the Odisha coast, in which a long distance missile will be fired from sites like Balasore and Abdul Kalam Island. It is estimated that this test may be for Agni-6 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) or hypersonic missile.

Pakistani airspace: There is an atmosphere of tension between India and Pakistan after the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, many big international airlines like Lufthansa and Air France have now started using other routes avoiding Pakistani aircraft. This has been revealed in the flight tracking data revealed on Monday.

Action taken after Pahalgam attack

After the Pahalgam attack, India shut down its aircraft for Pakistan’s airlines companies and Pakistan also retaliated on it for aircraft of Indian airlines companies, but did not ban other international airlines.

Here, the Lufthansa Group has confirmed the news agency Reuters that it will not use Pakistani airspace indefinitely due to more time for Asian countries.

Pakistan’s overflight revenue deficit to Pakistan

The data of Flightradar24 shows that due to the new route, Lufthansa’s Frankfurt-to-Delhi flight (LH760) took an additional time to travel for one hour. This will not only take longer to travel, but will also have more fuel consumption, which will directly affect the airlines companies. This change will also harm Pakistan’s overflight revenue.

Pakistani airspace being bypassed

In addition, the flight tracking system showed that British Airways, Swiss International Air Lines and Emirates flights are changing their way through Delhi. After crossing the Arabian Sea, they are escaping from Pakistani aircraft and most of them are choosing the northern route to travel.

British Airways and Emirates have not yet publicly commented on the matter. However, Air France has officially announced the cancellation of its flights from Pakistani aircraft, citing rising regional instability.

Pakistan airspace: Pakistan has shut down its aircraft for Indian aviation companies and if it remains in force for one year, then Air India may have to bear an additional cost of about $ 600 million. In such a situation, the company has urged the Government of India to compensate. Reuters have given this information in their report quoting an Air India letter.

Tension in both countries over Pahalgam attack

In view of the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir last week, India has taken many strict action against Pakistan and retaliating on it, Pakistan has also taken many steps. One of these is to close its aircraft for Indian airlines. Due to this, Indian airlines have to bear additional expenses on fuel and the journey is also feeling more time before.

Calculation of loss of aircraft closure

According to the Reuters report, in a letter sent to the Civil Aviation Ministry on Sunday, the company wrote that the calculation of more than Rs 50 billion ($ 591 million) annually due to the shutdown of Pakistan has been done. In such a situation, Air India has requested the Government of India for ‘subsidized model’ according to this loss.

This letter states, “Subsidy for affected international flights is an excellent, verified and right option.” The subsidy can be removed as soon as the situation improves. Due to the shutdown of the aircraft, there is more impact on the company due to high fuel consumption and additional crew members.

Conversation on Chinese alternative routes

Earlier, government officials had requested Air India officials to evaluate the consequences of air space closure on Indian aviation companies. India is engaged in finding alternative measures to reduce the impact of Pakistan’s air space closure on aviation companies. According to a source by Reuters, Indian aviation companies have interacted with the Ministry of Civil Aviation on Alternative Roots. During this time, it has been mentioned to pass through the path of China.

Pakistan airspace: India has taken some strict steps regarding the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, so Pakistan has also retaliated on it. One of these is Pakistan’s closing its aircraft for Indian airlines. That is, Indian aircraft will not be able to fly over Pakistan and go to another country.

Aircraft have to take support of alternative route

However, due to this decision of Pakistan, Indian airlines have to bear an additional expenditure of about Rs 77 crore a week to operate their flights. Due to the closure of Pakistan’s air space, aircraft have to resort to an alternative route for the journey of many countries. Due to this, there is more expenditure on fuel and time is also taking more time. On the basis of the number of international flights from North India and the increased deadline, the news agency PTI said that the operational cost can sit more than Rs 307 crore in the month.

The journey is taking so many hours

Citing a senior airline executive, PTI said in its report, “International flights are now taking an extra time of 1.5 hours to go to North America. In such a situation, every flight can increase the cost of up to Rs 29 lakh due to untouched technical halt. This includes fuel, landing and parking charges.

European routes are also taking an extra time of 1.5 hours, which can increase the cost of up to Rs 22.5 lakh per flight. While the flights going to the middle East are delayed by 45 minutes, due to which an extra operation of about Rs 5 lakh per flight is sitting.

More than 6000 international flights

Data from Aviation Analytics firm Syrium shows that Indian aviation companies operate more than 6,000 international flights on the monthly basis. Of these, about 800 weeks of flights start from North Indian cities like Delhi and go to North America, Europe, Britain and Middle East.

Of these, about 1900 flights of the month are operated using Naro Body Aircraft (A320s, A321S, B737s) for the Middle East. According to PTI estimates, an extra cost of Rs 90 crore is sitting alone every month. For Europe and North America, wide body aircraft can cost the remaining 217 crores on long distance journey.

 After the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam , Pakistan is taking such steps that they are taking a loss of crores of rupees. It is getting very expensive for Indian aircraft. This is confirmed for 2019 figures when India carried out Operation Balakot after the Pulwama attack. At that time too, Pakistan took the same step and closed its airspace for Indian aircraft. & Nbsp;

Pakistan had closed this airspace for about five months, due to which 400 blows using Pakistan airs were affected every day, while Pakistan suffered a loss of Rs 700 crore. According to reports, Pakistan suffered a huge loss of Rs 5.4 crore daily.

 heavy loss to Pakistan

With this, the time of flight also increased because the aircraft had to bypass Pakistan airspace. Due to this, the cost of spending, operational costs and maintenance on fuel also increased and the hours of duty for the air crew also increased.

The main reason for the loss to Pakistan is that flight to countries like Europeans, Middle East, America, Canada from places like Delhi, Amritsar, Lucknow and Jaipur pass over Pakistan. Pakistan is paid a flight fee for this for this when passing through the airspace.

But when the Indian flights will bypass Pakistan, then the direct loss will be that it will not get the flight fee. Also, & nbsp; Pakistani airlines, which fly to South East Asia, will have to adopt a long way away from India. By doing this, the cost of the neighboring country will also increase.

Pakistan close airspace for india: After the terrorist attack on tourist on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, there is a lot of tension between the two countries in the already sour relationship. On the one hand, where India announced to stop the water being released by putting Pakistan under the Indus Water Agreement, on the other hand, the Pakistan is taking a lot of trouble and making its economy further destroyed by taking bad steps.

Recently, Pakistan announced the closure of the air sector for Indian aircraft. Pakistan hoped that it would give a shock to India by doing such tax. But by doing this, he has actually hit an ax on his leg. This move can cause a big loss to Pakistan, not India but to Pakistan itself. This will stop the earnings of millions of dollars coming to Pakistan

Pakistan killed ax on its leg

Indian aircraft are now adopting any other way instead of Pakistan’s aircraft. Due to this, the charge that the flight passing over a country has to be paid, Pakistan will directly harm it. A Pakistani user shared the video of the flight of Indian aircraft on social media from the second route instead of Pakistan and wrote- ‘And Lo Panga’.

On this post, another user named Naren Menon’s name has commented on it and wrote that this will directly cause financial loss to Pakistan. Menon wrote- Pakistan has lost the overflight charge coming from the world’s third largest aviation market. With this, he was earning crores of dollars every year. Menon further wrote- I would not have seen such stupidity collectively on any land.

Menon told that a large number of aircraft from India, especially from Western countries, like Europeans and North America. In such a situation, Pakistan will be very expensive to stop Indian aircraft. Some users said that Pakistan will still earn money from foreign airlines. On this, Menon told that most of the aircraft from the west side do Indian airlines like Air India and Indigo. In such a situation, Pakistan lost a large part of the earnings coming from the overfly.

Tahawwur rana extradition: 26/11 Tawwur Rana, the mastermind of the Mumbai terror attack, was brought to India on Thursday (10 April 2025). The special aircraft from which NIA and NSG commandos have come from America to India, he had halted in Bucharest, the capital of Romania on Wednesday (9 April 2025). After this, the NIA team left from there on Thursday morning and reached Palam Technical Airport in Delhi at 6.30 pm.

Why was the route diverted?

The flight bringing Rana to Delhi from Romania was a big reason for much time. The special aircraft was brought from Europe to the aerspace of Gulf countries instead of Pakistan’s Air Space. After this, the flight reached Delhi from the Arabian Sea to Gujarat. Pakistan’s air space is quite sensitive, due to which distance from this route was made. If the Tehwavur has been the Veteran (doctor) of the Pakistani Army, then the NIA could not take any risk about its safety.

Tahwwur’s medical done at the airport itself

All the sensitive air-roots of the country, NSG commandos are stationed in every flight to operate. Their identity is kept very confidential. They are known as Air Marshal. As soon as he reached Palam Airport, the NIA formally arrested Tahawwur. Medical checkup was done at the airport itself.

Tehwavur Rana sent to 18 days custody

NIA Court Special Judge Chandrajit Singh sent Tahwwur Rana to 18 days of custody, while the NIA requested his 20 -day custody. Rana could be brought to India when the American top court on 4 April dismissed his reconsideration petition against his extradition. The NIA told the court that interrogation of Rana is necessary to find out the major conspiracy behind the 2008 attacks.
