Which tax was removed by Pakistan government?

After which now the prices of sanitary napkins and contraceptives have reduced in Pakistan. This will also increase awareness about hygiene among women.

Relief in contraceptive tax also
According to Pakistan Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, ‘Sanitary products are very important for women’s health, dignity and social participation. Pakistan has become the fifth most populous country in the world, hence promoting family planning is one of the priorities of the government.

Government’s ‘relief budget’
Whereas Pakistan’s Information Minister Ataullah Tarar has called it a relief budget and said, ‘This budget is for such a period when we are entering the time of prosperity.’ This step of the government has also been welcomed by many women upliftment institutions associated with Pakistan. Describing this step as commendable, he has termed it as the best decision in favor of women.
