MODDY upgrades Pakistan Credit Rating: Recently, the Pakistan Army Chief had visited America twice and the effect of both countries getting closer is now visible. American agency Moody’s upgraded Pakistan’s credit rating from CAA2 to CAA1. He has argued that now Pakistan’s external financial situation has improved before. After this rating of Moodyes, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that this is an indication that economic policies are going in the right direction.

What will be the advantage of changing ratings?

Actually, CAA2 is a very weak category, in which Pakistan was first placed. Now Pakistan’s rating has been improved, which shows that its economic condition has improved.

Due to the better rating of any country, there is a direct impact on trade and investment with that country. After improving Pakistan’s ratings, the ability and conditions to take loans for it may be better. It is believed that Pakistan’s central bank can also further change its policy rates. If this happens, the 11% rate at this time can be cut. This will have a positive impact on the economy there.

What is the logic of Moody’s?

After upgrading Pakistan’s ratings, the US rating agency said that it has now increased the perspective for the Government of Pakistan to stable (stable). This not only shows Pakistan’s better economic status, but also shows progress in programs going on under IMF. After upgrading the Moody’s rating, Pakistan’s Finance Minister Mo. Aurangzeb says that on the basis of this indicator positive, now the central bank has the scope to reduce the policy rate which is currently 11 percent.

Pakistan Get Loan from China: Pakistan’s economic condition has been in critical condition for the last few years. Foreign exchange reserves are continuously decreasing, inflation is at a height and the balance of import-export is continuously deteriorating. In such a situation, the country is constantly looking towards international lenders to support its economy.

Due to the strict conditions of the IMF (International Monetary Fund), Pakistan was required to maintain a minimum foreign exchange reserves of $ 14 billion, which was to be completed by 30 June 2025. In view of this deadline, China has come forward and helped Pakistan by giving a loan of $ 3.4 billion. This amount is not just a economic cooperation but also a diplomatic message that China still remains a strategic and economic partner of Pakistan.

Additional assistance received from middle East and other sources
According to the report of Reuters, not only China, but other commercial taxpayers of the Middle East have also come forward in the help of Pakistan. Overall, Pakistan has received an additional $ 1 billion additional loan from commercial sources of the Middle East, while around $ 500 million has been raised from multilateral funding agencies.

The main objective of these efforts is to meet the prescribed conditions of the IMF and increase the foreign exchange reserves to a respectable level. This funding is like a lifeline for Pakistan, because it will not only provide short -term relief to the country, as well as a positive message will go to the international market.

IMF assistance and India’s concerns
Recently, IMF has also given a loan of one billion dollars to Pakistan, which India has expressed its concern about. India believes that this debt can be used to nurture terrorism crossing border. Despite this, the IMF clarified that Pakistan had fulfilled all the prescribed conditions to get a loan. It is necessary to clarify here that the help of IMF is only based on economic data and not on geopolitical anxiety, but India’s concern is not unfounded. Pakistan uses this money in army work.

Will Pakistan be crossed?
A loan of $ 3.4 billion is an immediate relief, but this is not a permanent solution. This loan will be used to stabilize foreign exchange reserves, pay loans and control imports, but can it ensure long -term economic growth? On this, analysts believe that if Pakistan does not pay attention to internal economic reforms, then the dependence of foreign debt will become a permanent problem. Increasing tax base, promoting exports and controlling corruption will be a permanent solution for Pakistan.

Also read: Pew Research Report: 24 percent of the world’s people do not believe in any religion, whose population has increased?

Pakistan’s economic condition has become so bad that it has to beg for debt every month. Now he is going to get a loan of $ 544 million again. For this, he had appealed to the World Bank (World Bank) and Asian Development Bank (ADB), which has received approval. This loan has been taken by Pakistan in the name of education, strengthening women financially and empowering them.

The World Bank has approved a $ 194 million loan for Pakistan on Wednesday (June 25, 2025) and signed a $ 350 million loan agreement with ADB to promote women’s financial inclusion and economic empowerment.

According to the report of Pakistani news channel Sama TV, Pakistan has received this loan under two projects from the World Bank, which will be used to give children new opportunities for education in Balochistan province and to strengthen water security. World Bank director Negi Beheshin in Pakistan said that the objective of the project is to improve education system for children deprived of education in Balochistan.

Negi Beheshin also said that the water security project will help Balochistan to deal with climate change. The World Bank also says that the infrastructure in Balochistan and investment on human development will create employment opportunities in the province.

According to the report of Radio Pakistan, the agreement was signed by Additional Secretary of Economic Affairs Division, Sabina Qureshi and Project Administration Unit chief Dinesh Raj Shivkoti on Tuesday.

The report said, “This program will provide sufficient opportunities to women to create better access to financial services, expand business opportunities and create new employment opportunities.” WIF sub-program-2 focuses on four major improvement areas. This includes creating capable policy and regulatory environment for financial inclusion of women, enhancing finance for women, strengthening women’s entrepreneurship capacity and promoting inclusive and justified workplaces within the financial sector.

Radio Pakistan said that this agreement also shows the commitment of the Government of Pakistan to make women an active part of the national economy. With this initiative, not only women will be financially empowered, but it will also pave the way for their more inclusive, justified and prosperous future.

According to the Economic Survey 2024-25 released on 9 June, Pakistan’s total debt has increased to 76,000 billion Pakistani rupees in the first nine months of the current financial year. From this, it is estimated that in the current financial year, Pakistan’s economy will be able to increase at the rate of only 2.7 percent.

Pakistan and International Monetary Fund (IMF) signed a seven billion dollar external fund facility (IFF) loan agreement last year. Pakistan has received two installments so far, the second installment was distributed in May this year.

Pakistan Economic Survey Report 2024-25: The Economic Survey Report of the Government of Pakistan is giving 2024-25 testimony of what bad state the country is in. At present, a total loan of Rs 76,000 billion has been loaded on the country, including Rs 51,500 billion from domestic banks and Rs 24,500 billion rupees. In this way, a loan of more than three lakh rupees has been felt on every Pakistani citizen. Despite such a terrible situation, the Government of Pakistan and the army are busy with efforts to surround India, while the citizens of their country themselves are struggling for bread, electricity, gas and jobs on the ground.

Pakistan Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has claimed that the country’s economy is in recovery mode and by 2025 GDP growth will reach 2.7%. Pakistan’s GDP growth was -0.2% in 2023. The country’s debt is more than two-thirds of GDP. Due to this, a large part of the annual income is being spent only in paying interest. Export is $ 27.3 billion, while import $ 48.6 billion is not a recovery, but a mere cycle of debt.

IMF and economic ‘Sanjeevani’ depended on foreign countries
Even though there may have been a slight increase in Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves ($ 16.64 billion), most of it is the result of a loan taken from IMF, World Bank, and Saudi-Amirat. There is a plan to privatize 24 government companies at the behest of IMF. This has claimed to reduce the loss of 800 billion rupees annually, but it is going to fall in the coming time, the country’s employment declines, expensive services prices and a burden on the common man.

Anti-India stance tried to raise ego in poverty
When the government and army of Pakistan do not have the policy and resources to handle their country, they are still increasing the army in POK. Trying to discredit India on international forums. Busy in conspiracy and rhetoric against India, all this is only a political show so that the attention of the people can be diverted from inflation, unemployment and economic plight.

Pakistan (Pakistan) has once again been expecting relief from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). IMF has approved a new bailout package of more than $ 1 billion to Pakistan. This is not the first time, Pakistan has knocked the door of IMF a total of 24 times since 1958. But the question arises that why did Pakistan’s economic condition not improve even after repeated loans?

Old pattern of Pakistan’s economy

Since the formation of the country in 1947, Pakistan has been facing continuous economic crises. War from India in 1947, 1965 and 1971, separation of Bangladesh and internal political instability have been major reasons for its economic weakness. Pakistan got the first IMF Bailout in 1958. From then to 2024, every third year he has taken a new bailout on an average.

Question on bailout amidst Indo-Pak tension

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, the tension between India and Pakistan increased once again. In such an environment, Pakistan gets bailout from IMF many questions. Although the IMF says that this decision was taken before the existing tension, but the debate on the timeliness of such help has erupted.

Statistics show, Pakistan’s situation is serious

According to 2024 IMF and World Bank data-

Pakistan’s current account balance – 0.5 percent GDP

FDI (FDI)- 0.6 percent GDP

Total foreign reserves (including gold)- $ 12.98 billion

Compare other countries

India has reserve- $ 569.54 billion

Reserve near Bangladesh- $ 46.17 billion

Afghanistan has reserve- $ 9.75 billion

Reserve near Sri Lanka- $ 6.05 billion

Pakistan’s increasing foreign debt

IMF deputy managing director Nizal Clarke said after the bailout, “Pakistan’s debt can be considered sustainable as long as the government is committed to reforms. But if the policies lapse or stop the external funding, the currency crisis and the private sector are set to decline.” The IMF has given special emphasis on reforms this time, especially tax reforms, control over corruption and management of government expenses.

Terrorism and heavy expenditure on army

Experts say that Pakistan is not just the failure of economic policies due to repeated bailouts, but the public’s priorities are also not good for the public. Instead of economic reforms and basic services, more is being spent on structures promoting army and terrorism.

Between 2025 and 2027, Pakistan is under pressure to repay a loan of $ 130 billion. In the coming two years, Pakistan has to return about 130 billion to the IMF, other global agencies and banks, out of which in 2025, in 2025, $ 30 billion dollars and $ 100 billion in 2027 are outstanding. This figure is much larger than the help given by IMF.

World Bank Report on Pakistan: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, bad news is coming for the neighboring country Pakistan on every front. On the one hand, while the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has estimated the growth rate of Pakistan to be low, on the other hand the World Bank has given a big warning to Pakistan. The World Bank while warning said that in the current financial year, there will be a crisis of starvation in front of about one crore people. Along with this, poverty levels will also increase rapidly.

Prior to warning of poverty in Pakistan, the World Bank had estimated the economic pace to be 2.7 percent in its report. The reason for this is the World Bank held strict economic policies responsible in Pakistan.

1 crore people on the verge of starvation

According to the news of the Express Tribune, the World Bank has said in its report that Shahbaz Sharif’s government has also failed to meet its target of annual budget deficit and this is expected to increase Pakistan’s debt burden and more than GDP.

According to the report, the World Bank said that due to the weather, the entire agricultural products of Pakistan will be affected and major crops like rice, millet crops will be badly affected. It further states that about 1 crore people will reach the verge of starvation (in most rural areas) in Pakistan.

Pakistan not invited for azlan shah cup 2025: Due to its economic status and increasing debt, Pakistan always has to be insulted in front of the world. The debt on Pakistan is continuously increasing, in several reports last year, it was claimed that Pakistan had a loan of $ 271.2 billion. Now another similar news has come from Pakistan, due to which it is being insulted once again in front of the world. The Malaysian Hockey Federation has not invited Pakistan for the Azlan Shah Cup to be held this year due to the outstanding debt.

The Pakistan hockey team reached the final in this tournament held last year, where it lost. Last year’s runner -up team did not call the tournament this time due to the outstanding debt.

A media report, quoting a source in the Pakistan Hockey Federation, said, “A former official of the Pakistan Hockey Federation took some wrong decisions during the last season of the Azlan Shah Cup, which drowned the debt of PHF MHF (Malaysian Hockey Federation).”

The organizers of the Malaysian Union were not happy with this, so they did not send the last year’s runner -up Pakistan for the upcoming tournament.

The report quoted the source as saying that Pakistan Hockey Federation officials are trying to resolve the dispute with MHF. He hopes that the matter will be resolved and at the end of this week he will also get an invitation.
