After Saudi Arabia -Pakistan Defense Agreement, questions were being raised whether Pakistan would give its nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif has responded to this. He said that whatever we have, we will give them. With this statement, the importance of the defense deal between the two countries can be understood.

In an interview to a Pakistani TV news channel, Pakistan Defense Minister Khwaja Asif said that Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities will be available to him under the new Pakistan-Saudi Defense Agreement. He said that the doors of Arab countries joining this agreement have not been closed.

Pakistani defense minister khawaja asif said Pakistan’s nuclear capabilitys would be available under the new Pakistan-saudi mutual defense pact.

“What we have, our capability, will absolutely be… pic.twitter.com/kpu6TB67gu

Hope for Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has raised a ray of hope from this announcement. Riyadh had already hoped that Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities would prove to be a kind of security shield for him. However, now this attitude of Pakistan can change the strategy of Saudi Arabia. This step will also help Saudi Arabia’s defense priorities and partnerships. According to a report by Arms Control, Pakistan currently has about 170 nuclear weapons, which is less than India. India has about 172 nuclear weapons.

Defense agreement is not against any third country- Pakistan

Pakistan said on Friday (19 September 2025) that the recent mutual defense agreement with Saudi Arabia is not against any third country. He said that this agreement reflects the commitment of both countries to increase defense cooperation and ensure joint security. Addressing the weekly press conference here, Foreign Office spokesman Shafkat Khan described the agreement as a milestone to promote peace and security in the region and the world.

What is the reaction of India on the Saudi-Pak defense deal?

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a strategic mutual defense agreement on Wednesday (17 September 2025), according to which any attack on the two countries would be considered an attack against both. The agreement has been reached a few days after the Israeli attack on Hamas leadership in Qatar, which is a major ally of America in the Gulf region. Commenting on the development, India said on Thursday (18 September 2025) that it would study the effects of the move on regional and global stability along with its national security.
