Bangladesh has defeated Pakistan by 104 runs in the first test. In the match played in Dhaka, Pakistan team had got the target of 268 runs in the fourth innings, in response to which the entire Pakistan team was reduced to 163 runs and lost the match by a huge margin of 104 runs. In the fourth innings, especially the 6 and a half feet bowler Nahid Rana wreaked havoc, who took a total of 5 wickets.

This is Bangladesh’s third consecutive victory over Pakistan in Test cricket. This is the first time in history that Bangladesh has defeated the Pakistan team in 3 consecutive test matches. This winning streak of Bangladesh team has been going on since August 2024.

Pakistan had the target of 268 runs in the fourth innings. Taskin Ahmed had given a blow to Pakistan’s hopes of victory by dismissing Imam ul Haq in the very first over. The bat of Ajan Awais, who scored a century in the first innings, remained silent this time, who could score only 15 runs. Within no time, Pakistan had lost 3 wickets till the score was 68 and the team was still 200 runs away from victory.

Salman Agha and Abdullah Fazal managed the innings with a partnership of 51 runs. Fazal scored 66 runs and was the only batsman to score a half-century for Pakistan in the second innings. As soon as Fazal’s wicket fell, the fall of wickets started. Nahid Rana wreaked such havoc that Pakistan’s last 7 wickets fell within just 44 runs.

About 6 and a half feet tall fast bowler Nahid Rana took a total of 5 wickets in the fourth innings. This is only the second time in Naheed’s Test career that he has taken a wicket in an innings. In the first innings, Mehdi Hasan Miraj broke the back of Pakistani batting by taking 5 wickets for Bangladesh.
