Pakistan Journalist Arzoo Kazmi: Pakistan’s well-known journalist Arju Kazmi has claimed that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has blocked his bank account, passport and ID card. She has claimed that she had gone to withdraw money but it was found that her account and all the documents have been blocked. He was given a number and asked that this is FIA’s number.

He further said that when she is calling that number, the number is going off. This further deepens that this is the action taken under the plan.

Arju Kazmi released a 3.5 minute video on X (East) and revealed the government atrocities on himself. He said that I have been told that I cannot go anywhere. I am being threatened with arrest. He also clarified that if someone does journalism with truth in Pakistan, then it is a brave step. This type of journalism has to bear the brunt.

Following these allegations, many journalists, human rights activists and common citizens have raised their voice in their support. Senior Pakistan journalist Azad Saeed made a tweet in support of Arju Kazmi, in which he wrote that journalists, institutions, human rights activists and law guardians should raise their voice against the black law of PECA.
