Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday (October 20, 2025) greeted the people of the Hindu community on the occasion of Diwali. With this, the top leaders of Pakistan have said a big thing for the people of minority Hindu community of their country, after which their statement has become fierce.

PM Shahbaz Sharif and President Zardari have assured the people of minority Hindu community in Pakistan that they will be treated equally inside the country. Whereas in Pakistan, religious minorities are treated completely contrary to this trust and they face many difficulties every day.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared a post on social media platform X on Monday (October 20, 2025). Sharif said, ‘On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, I heartily congratulate our Hindu community living in Pakistan and around the world. Just as the lamps of Diwali illuminate homes and hearts, I pray that this festival dispels darkness, increases mutual harmony and takes us all towards a future of peace and prosperity.

He said, ‘The message of Diwali inspires us to fight together against challenges like intolerance and inequality in the society with the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and hope over despair. Pakistan’s Constitution guarantees equal rights – Zardari

Along with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the country’s President Asif Ali Zardari also congratulated the people of the Hindu community. He said, ‘This festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil. During this, he stressed that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights and religious freedom for all citizens.

Shahbaz Sharif threatened India

This serious response to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has come out after a warning by Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The Pakistani PM had warned on Tuesday (August 12, 2025) that India would not be allowed to take even a drop of their country. This statement of Pakistan came after India’s decision to suspend the 1960 Indus Water Agreement.

During a ceremony in Islamabad, Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif said, “If you threaten to stop our water, you cannot snatch a drop of water from Pakistan. If India tries to do something like this, he will be taught a lesson.” Pakistan has repeatedly claimed that the action of war will be considered to prevent water from flowing in Pakistan.

From Bilate Bhutto to Zardari made anti-India statements
