According to media reports, just before the incident, Sana had interacted for a while with the suspected shooter outside her house.

A police spokesman said that the suspect entered the house, fired several bullets and then ran away from the spot. Sana took two bullets and died on the spot. Later his body was taken to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for postmortem.
