What did Ishaq Dar say later?
Talking to journalists after the meeting, Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan remains firm on its old stand on the issue of Palestine and Gaza. He said Islamabad will not consider any change in its policy towards Israel until concrete progress is made towards the establishment of a Palestinian state. Dar said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir have played an active role at the diplomatic and defense levels to reduce tension in the region. He also said that Iran had agreed not to make nuclear weapons, but America wants Iran to end its entire nuclear program. Dar claimed that initially the talks between America and Iran were moving in a positive direction. He mentioned Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Austria, where he met the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). According to Dar, the agency chief was also hopeful that the talks were moving in the right direction.

Pakistan talks with Oman’s Foreign Minister

According to the report of Dawn newspaper, Dar also told that he had talked to the Foreign Minister of Oman. He was informed that the last round of talks between America and Iran had ended in a positive atmosphere. Dar said Oman’s foreign minister later went to Washington and met the US Vice President there to discuss the progress of talks. However, Dar expressed concern over the sudden attacks after these positive signs. He said that this situation reminds him of the events of June last year, when there was a 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran.

It was already clarified by Pakistan that India-Pakistan relations would also be discussed during Ishaq Dar’s visit to America. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Shafkat Ali Khan said on Thursday (July 24, 2025), “Indo-Pak issue will also exchange ideas.”

The US has been taking credit for arbitration in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan for a long time, which India has dismissed many times, but Pakistan has recognized. Shafkat Ali Khan said, “We are grateful to the role of America, which reduced stress and ceasefire was possible.”

Pakistan accused of supporting terrorism

India has been continuously accusing Pakistan of supporting terrorism. India says that the government of Pakistan and the army are involved in cross -border terrorism and provide financial assistance and safe havens to terrorist organizations.
