Palestine’s Foreign Minister Dr. Warsen Agabekian Shaheen, who is visiting India, has expressed hope that Palestine will soon be free from Israeli occupation. Not only will peace be restored there but Gaza will also be rebuilt.

In a special conversation with ABP News, Dr. Shaheen said that as long as Benjamin Netanyahu is the Prime Minister of Israel, he does not have much hope from Israel because he has repeatedly said that he will continue to occupy Palestine. On Donald Trump’s peace proposal, Dr Shaheen also said that he hopes from Trump that he will be able to restore peace in Palestine and for this he will also put pressure on Israel.

What are the expectations from India? Palestine minister told

When Dr. Shaheen was asked what his expectations were from India, he said that India and Palestine have a very old relationship which has been going on since 1947. India has been one of the first countries which has recognized Palestine and India is a friend of Palestine as well as Israel, so only one friend can persuade the third friend to help by talking to another friend and this is our expectation from India.

Dr. Shaheen, who came to India for special talks with the ministers of Arab countries, said that no solution will be found in this conversation with the ministers of Arab countries in India, but we will definitely be able to talk about what the Arab countries should do for Palestine. What should happen in the future in Gaza? This meeting is important for us so that we can garner support for ourselves from all sides.

Class of flour sent by Malta

Late on Sunday night, Abela, while mentioning the help being sent to Gaza through a Facebook post, said that on the eve of recognition to Palestine, the consignment of the flour donated by Malta was delivered. He said that recognizing Palestine is ‘historic’ and Malta is committed to establish peace in the region.

A day earlier i.e. on Sunday (September 21, 2025), after Canada and Australia, the UK announced to recognize Palestine as an independent and sovereign country. The British PM Keer Stmper expressed his intention through a long-wide video post. However, Israel strongly opposed the move.

Israeli PM’s message to other countries

After Hamas’s massacre of October 7, 2023, Israel described Palestine’s unilateral recognition as a ‘award for terror’. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “I will respond to this new attempt to impose a terrorist state on our land after returning from America.”

Addressing the governments of the three countries, he said, ‘After the horrific massacre of October 7, I have a clear message for the leaders who recognize the Palestinian country that you are giving a big reward to terror and I have another message for you that nothing like this is going to happen. There will be no Palestinian country in the west of the Jordan River.

On Friday (August 22, 2025) amidst the Israeli-Pilistine dispute, the United Nations officially announced a famine in Gaza, the first famine in the Middle East. According to the expert, 5,00,000 people are facing terrible starvation in this famine.

IPC report based on Hamas’s lie

Criticizing the report of the IPC panel in Rome, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said that this report is based on the lies of Hamas spread through selfish organizations. He said that there is no famine in Gaza.

The IPC panel of Rome said on Friday that the famine has been confirmed in the province and city of Gaza, which is about 20 percent of the Gaza Strip by 15 August 2025. He said that by the end of September, the impact of the famine is expected to be increased to the Der al-Balah and Khan Unis provinces, which will engulf about two-thirds of Palestine.

More than 5 lakh people victims of starvation in Gaza Strip

The IPC panel report said that after 22 months of fierce war, more than 5 lakh people in Gaza Strip are facing terrible conditions like starvation and death and now by the end of September, this number is expected to increase to 641,000, which is about one third of the total population.

Citing this report, the IPC said that this has been due to large -scale displacement and ban in Gaza due to the war between terrible starvation, Israel and Hamas. In the beginning of March after the war began between the two countries, Israeli banned the support supply in Gaza, causing a huge shortage of food, medicine and goods there.

Agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries destroyed in Gaza

The IPC said that the estimated 98 percent of the agricultural land in Gaza Strip has either been destroyed, has become inaccessible or both have become. Livestock is destroyed and fishing has been banned.
