Purnia MP Pappu Yadav (Pappu Yadav) Bihar State Women Commission has sent a notice. This notice is dated Tuesday (April 21, 2026). Recently Pappu Yadav had given an objectionable statement about women working in politics. This notice has been issued in relation to the same.

Three days time given to reply

Pappu Yadav has been given three days to reply. Bihar State Women Commission has taken suo motu cognizance of her controversial statement. The notice has been issued by Commission Chairperson Apsara. Now it has to be seen what Pappu Yadav says in his clarification.

What is written in the notice?

In the notice issued to Pappu Yadav, the Chairperson of the Commission has said, “In a video circulated through social media, you have made a hateful statement towards women working in the political field, in which you have said that women working in politics come only after sharing beds with some politicians. This statement hurts the self-respect and social prestige of women.”

Let us tell you that Pappu Yadav said that 90 percent women cannot do politics without going to the leader’s room. CCTV footage also goes viral every day. Be it school or office, women are exploited everywhere.

It is further written, “Taking suo motu cognizance of this, the Bihar State Women’s Commission demands an answer from you as to why such a hateful statement was made by you? Also, why should not a recommendation be made to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha to cancel the membership of the Lok Sabha against you? Therefore, make sure to provide a clear reply regarding the said hateful statement to the undersigned within three days of receiving the letter. This should be considered urgent.”
