Neeraj Chopra on Arshad Nadeem News: Star spear throw player Neeraj Chopra on Thursday made it clear that he and Arshad Nadeem had never had close friendship and also said that things between India and Pakistan will not remain the same after the recent terrorist attack. After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam last month, Neeraj Chopra and his family had to face abusive words on social media, as this star athlete invited Nadeem of Pakistan to NC Classic in Bengaluru, although it has now been postponed.

The two -time Olympic medalist and current world champion gave a clear answer to Chopra when asked about the friendship with Nadeem on the eve of the Diamond League here. Nadeem won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics last year, while Chopra topped the podium in the Tokyo phase in 2021.

Chopra told reporters during a press conference, “First I would like to clarify that I (with Nadeem) is not a very strong relationship. We were never close friends. But due to this reason (tension on the Indo-Pak border), the conversation between us will not be the same as before. But if someone talks to me with respect, then I also talk with respect. ,

He said, “We have to talk as a player. I have some good friends in the sports community around the world who are not only in a spear throw, but also in more sports. If someone talks to me respectfully, I will also talk to him with full respect.

Haryana star Neeraj Chaupra said, “There is a very small community in the javelin throw and everyone is competing for their country and everyone wants to give their best.”

The Paris Games silver winner Star had earlier said that he was very sad after Nadeem was invited to compete in the tournament held in his honor and questioned him and his family’s honesty in a derogatory post on social media. Chopra then clarified that invitations for NC Classic were sent a day before the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed.
