Scientists of Haridwar-based Patanjali Research Foundation conducted research on Giloy plants for 24 consecutive months from 2022 to 2024. They collected Giloy stem samples every other month and examined them using modern techniques (UHPLC-PDA and HPTLC). Investigation revealed that the quantity of three major bioactive compounds of Giloy – cordifolioside A, magnoflorin and beta-ecdysone was found to be highest in the month of August.

It is ridiculous and deeply objectionable that a sub-standard lab has declared Patanjali’s best cow ghee as sub-standard. The company further said, “The parameters on the basis of which the sample was declared unsuccessful were not applicable at that time, hence their use is legally wrong.”

Patanjali will file appeal in Food Safety Tribunal

Patanjali claims, “The re-testing was done after the expiry date of the sample, which is invalid as per law.” The court has passed an adverse order without considering all these major arguments, which is not correct from the point of law. An appeal is being filed against this order in the Food Safety Tribunal and we are confident that this matter will be decided in our favor on the solid grounds of our case before the Tribunal.
