Two more people have been arrested in the case of murder of gangster Chandan Mishra in a private hospital in Patna last month. On Saturday, SSP Karthikeya’s Sharma gave this information.

Two accused arrested from Buxar

According to the police, the arrested accused include Vijay Kant Pandey alias Rudra Pandey alias Dhannu (shooter), resident of Nagpura in Simri police station area of Buxar district and Rajesh Yadav (arms supplier), resident of Khandra ward number-1 of Simri police station area. On the basis of Yadav’s revelations, 190 grams of heroin has also been recovered from a place in Patna.

SSP Karthikeya Sharma said that Rajesh Yadav had reached Patna a day before the incident, he spent the night at the house of his friend Rohit in Anand Vihar Colony of Roopaspur police station area and provided weapons to the shooters. After this, he also Reiki for the activities of Chandan Mishra. After executing the incident, everyone escaped.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Karthikeya’s Sharma told reporters, ‘Four of the five attackers have been arrested. One is still absconding and the police will soon catch him.

Chandan Mishra, convicted of murder, was released on parole. On July 17, Mishra was shot dead by five gunmen at the intensive medical unit (ICU) of the hospital. The CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media, in which five armed attackers were seen entering and firing in the ICU. In this firing, Mishra died on the spot.

Four accused arrested so far

The attackers arrested so far include Tausif alias Badshah, Balwant Kumar, Raviranjan Kumar Singh and Vijayakant Pandey. Apart from this, several colleagues of the main accused have also been detained, including Harsh, Bhima, Nishu Khan, Abhishek Kumar and Rajesh Yadav.

In Patna’s Janipur police station area, criminals entered the house and burnt two children of AIIMS nurse alive. The name of the deceased child is Anjali and Ansh. These visits were the children of Shobha and Lalan Kumar Gupta, who hail from Janipur. The incident is on Thursday afternoon.

Children were alone at home

After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and sent the bodies of both the children for postmortem. At the same time, there is anger among the local people after this act of miscreants. It is said that the criminals carried out the incident when the children were alone at home and immediately came from school. The police is investigating the case.

After the incident, a huge crowd of people gathered on the spot to see the children. There is a lot of anger among the people about the incident. There is chaos in the house. Meanwhile, people also raised slogans against the police-administration. The family said that some unknown people entered their house and burnt these two children alive. The bodies of both the children were lying on their bed.

What did the police say in the case?

Fulwari Sharif’s DSP-2 Deepak Kumar in the case says, “The incident of two children dying burnt. We are on the spot. We are also investigating technical aspects, a team has also been called in this regard. Initial investigation shows that the children were alone at home.”

After the incident, the police have also called the FSL team on the spot and the matter is being investigated in depth, whether the miscreants burnt these children or they died due to some fire. The cause of why the incident was carried out at the moment has not been known.

According to police sources, Nishu is the maternal brother of the main shooter Tausif Badshah and his house became the basis of the conspiracy to murder. Before the murder of Chandan Mishra at Paras Hospital on 17 July, shooters- Tausif Badshah, Monu Singh, Balwant Singh, Abhishek and Nilesh made Nishu’s house in Samanpura their home. It is here that he finalized the hospital’s Reiki and the plan for murder was finalized.

Sources claim that Nishu Khan not only sheltered the shooters, but also provided arms and bikes to the callrs. His house was strategically convenient for shooters as it was near Paras Hospital in Samanpura. That is, the murder plot was hatched at Nishu Khan’s house and Tausif carried out the incident.

Police investigation revealed that the murder was planned by gangster Sheru Singh in Purulia Jail, who had given a betel nut of Rs 10 lakh to Tausif. Nishu helped Tausif in executing this conspiracy. However, Nishu is allegedly paralyzed and was first injured by a bullet. Despite this, how he did such a big job, it is a surprising thing.

Four accused caught from Kolkata

A total of four suspects, including the main accused Tausif alias Badshah, have been detained from a guesthouse in Anandpur, Kolkata. According to the information, all have been taken to Kolkata Police Headquarters Lalbazar, where they are being interrogated.

Police reached the hideout through CCTV

DGP Vinay Kumar said that a SIT was first formed under the direction of the headquarters and research was started. In collaboration with STF, Patna Police reached his hideout, chasing the person who had caused the incident by observation of technical research and CCTV.

According to the DGP, the motorcycle used in the murder of Gopal Khemka was recovered from there. When asked about the motorcycle owner, the nearby people were asked to know that this motorcycle belongs to Umesh Yadav, who lives in the front house. When the said house was searched, the shirt, helmet, mask, etc. worn at the time of the incident were recovered. After that questioning of Umesh Yadav was started.

Umesh Yadav admitted to the murder of Gopal Khemka in the course of intensive inquiries. Asked about the weapon and bullet used in the incident, he told that after the incident, he has hidden it on the first floor of his house. On its spot, 56 rounds of live cartridges of 7.62 mm, a 9 mm pistol, two magazines and 14 bullets were recovered after searching the first floor room.

Umesh Yadav said that a betel nut of four lakh rupees was fixed to carry out the incident. 50 thousand rupees were given in advance and the remaining amount was given through Ashok Saw in JP Gangapath, Malsalami police station area on the next day i.e. 05.07.2025. Umesh met Ashok Saw at a wedding ceremony in Biharsharif about one and a half years ago. Since then, it was doing small work for them.

About one and a half months ago, Ashok Saw hatched a conspiracy to kill Gopal Khemka. Ashok Saw asked to arrange shooter and weapon to kill Gopal Khemka. Two mobiles were purchased through Ashok Saw. Put one with him, gave one to Umesh. Took a SIM in his name. Ashok Saw told Umesh Yadav that we will talk to this number.

4 lakh rupees betel nut sought to kill

According to police officials, Ashok Saw and Umesh Yadav together contacted the criminals who were involved in the incidents. Vikas alias Raja of Umesh Yadav’s area, which has been recorded on killing several cases of murder, robbery, Arms Act, to kill him. So a betel nut of Rs 4 lakh was demanded through shooter Vikas alias Raja.

After that, Umesh Yadav got the idea that why not kill this murder and keep all the betel nuts yourself. In this sequence, 9 mm weapons, two magazines 18 bullets were provided through Ashok Saw. Gopal Khemka’s photo and vehicle region number was made available. Gopal Khemka used to come back home everyday at 08 pm and go back home at around 11:30 pm. While leaving the club, his friend Sudesh used to take Sarin on the Bakarganj turn and go to his house.

When Umesh Yadav reached Bankipur Club at around 11:30 pm on 04.07.2025, when he saw Gopal Khemka’s car, he immediately moved towards his residence and started waiting for Gopal Khemka to come. After some time, Gopal Khemka drove his car himself and stopped at the gate of his apartment, Umesh Yadav shot and killed him. From there, Umesh went to his house in front of Jamal Road bypass police station on his motorcycle and went to his house via Devi place and hid the weapon in the room above his house.

The next day, according to the time, at around 08 am, he reached near Malsalami Ghat on JP Ganga Path and was waiting for Ashok Saw. After a while Ashok Saw reached there and gave the remaining amount of betel nut 3 lakh 50 thousand rupees and gave mobile. After this, these people went to their respective homes. While going home, Ashok Saw saw that there was no sim in mobile.

Why did Ashok Saw kill Gopal Khemka?

In the research, Udayagiri apartment flat no. 601 was searched, from where 6 lakh 50 thousand rupees in cash, a pistol, 17 live cartridges, a lot of land papers, mobiles and other similar were recovered. After that Ashok Saw was arrested. On asking him, he told that Gopal Khemka was killed due to the dispute of land and Bankipur club.
