However, the White House has completely rejected these claims and said that the US Army has enough weapons to fulfill all the strategic goals of President Trump.

Report claims- preparation for a long war, but concern over weapons

Reports in American newspapers The Washington Post and The Telegraph have claimed that America may be preparing for a major military operation against Iran, but its stock of missiles and other weapons is rapidly depleting. Speaking to The Washington Post, a US official involved in the Iran conflict said that the US is preparing for a massive war, but it may be difficult to conduct a long-term campaign safely with existing weapons. The official claims that the White House probably does not have complete information about this situation.

Fear of reduction in stock of missiles and weapons

According to the report, if America increases the scope of its military operations, it may face shortage of air defense interceptor missiles, long-range precision weapons and other military resources. Also, after the losses in recent military operations, rapidly deploying a large number of additional soldiers, fighter planes and military equipment can also become a challenge for America.

Experts also expressed concern

Seth Jones, head of the Defense and Security Program at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), also justified these concerns. He said that if the conflict escalates further, the American army may not be fully prepared. He also said that sending ground troops to the islands or coastal areas of the Persian Gulf strait could prove to be a big strategic mistake. It is noteworthy that last week President Donald Trump had not clearly ruled out the possibility of sending ground troops against Iran.

Claims of ‘culture of silence’ in Pentagon

Another big claim has been made in the report of The Telegraph. According to the report, such a situation has arisen within the Pentagon that many officers are avoiding conveying information about the bad or real situation to their superiors. The report claims that there is an atmosphere of fear among officers due to the image of Defense Minister Pete Hegseth removing several senior military officers.

Claim of thousands of missiles spent

Meanwhile, a report published in March by the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) said that in the first 16 days of the conflict, America and its allies had used more than 11 thousand weapons and missiles. The report warned that if the military campaign continued at this pace, some important missile stockpiles could be exhausted within a few weeks. According to analysts, THAAD interceptors, Patriot PAC-3 missiles and Tomahawk cruise missiles have been used extensively in recent operations, which has increased the pressure on their reserves.

White House called the claims wrong

However, the White House has completely rejected all these claims. White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said the US military has enough weapons, ammunition and reserves to meet all of President Donald Trump’s strategic goals and beyond. He rejected all reports regarding shortage of weapons as false.
