The reason behind this is that if Pakistan had boycotted the Asia Cup, then the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would have lost crores of rupees.

Pakistan’s loss of Rs 141 crore

If Pakistan’s team had boycotted from the Asia Cup, then PCB would have lost Rs 141 crore. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) divides the reviews generated from this tournament in five Test-playing teams at 15-15 per cent. These countries include the names of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Apart from this 75 percent, 25 percent share goes to associate countries.

From the Asia Cup, the Pakistan Cricket Board is expected to get 12 to 16 million USD alone, which is a broadcast deal, sponsorship and ticket sale. If Pakistan had boycotted from the Asia Cup, then 16 million US dollars i.e. Rs 141 crore would have gone out of PCB’s hand. In such a situation, Pakistan played the match against UAE despite being the match referee of Andy Picroft and withdrew Boycott.

No handshake controversy Pakistan was heavy

In the India-Pakistan match, Indian players did not join hands with Pakistani players, after which the Pakistan team alleged that the referee Andy Picroft refused to join hands with the captains of both teams and complained to the ICC. But the ICC freed Picroft from all the allegations and said that there is no fault of the match referee.
