Russia Ukraine War: An important meeting took place between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday. After this meeting, hopes have increased after the end of Ukraine-Russia war.

The leaders have said that they have come very close to an agreement to end the war, although there are still one or two issues which are very complicated.

‘Very close to the end of the war’

After the meeting, US President Donald Trump said that his meeting was very good. He told that many important issues were discussed openly in the meeting. Trump says he is confident that the Russia-Ukraine war is now very close to ending, perhaps closer than ever. He told that after this meeting he and President Zelensky have also talked to European leaders and considerable progress has been made towards stopping the war. Trump described this war as one of the deadliest conflicts after the Second World War.

He said that 91 percent of the people of Ukraine want this war to end. Russia also wants the same and the whole world wants this war to stop now.

‘Putin wants the war to end’

Trump told that before this meeting he had talked on the phone with Russian President Putin. Regarding Russian President Putin, Trump said that he saw Putin in a different light today. According to Trump, Putin himself wants the war to end and he placed a lot of emphasis on this. Trump said that he has confidence in Putin.

Regarding the meeting with Putin and Zelensky, Trump said that he thinks it will definitely happen, just waiting for the right time. He reiterated that Putin also wants such a meeting and he himself has said this emphatically. On the possibility of going to Ukraine, Trump said that if this stops the war and the lives of about 25 thousand people can be saved every month, then he is definitely ready to go to Ukraine.

‘Putin showed generous attitude’

US President Donald Trump said that Russia also wants Ukraine to move forward and succeed. He said, ‘This may sound a bit strange, but when I was talking to President Putin on the phone, he showed a very liberal attitude towards Ukraine. This also includes providing energy, electricity and other essential commodities at very low prices. “Many good and positive things have come out of the phone call with Putin today.”

Zelensky said this

After the meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that there were good and detailed talks between the two countries on all important issues. Zelensky said, ‘We discussed all aspects. 90 percent consensus has been reached on America’s 20-point peace plan. 100 percent agreement has been reached on America-Ukraine security guarantee. The Ukrainian President said that talks have also been reached on military aspects. Along with this, the plan is being finalized. Apart from this, the sequence of further action has also been discussed.

He said that both sides agree that security guarantees are a very important step towards achieving lasting peace. In this direction, the teams of both the countries will continue to work keeping all aspects in mind. Zelensky reiterated that Ukraine is fully ready for peace.

Meeting will be held in Washington in January

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that in January, Trump will hold an important meeting with the leaders of Ukraine and Europe in Washington DC.

Thailand Cambodia Conflict: Cambodia has made serious allegations against Thailand just hours after US President Donald Trump announced the ceasefire. Cambodia says that despite agreeing to a ceasefire, Thailand continued air strikes on its territory. After these allegations, tension seems to be deepening once again in this sensitive border area of South-East Asia.

Cambodia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement released on the social media platform ‘X’ that the Thai army launched new attacks in its area on Saturday. According to the statement, ‘On December 13, 2025, the Thai military, using two F-16 fighter planes, dropped seven bombs on several locations inside Cambodia.’ The ministry also said that despite the ceasefire announcement, the bombings by Thai military aircraft have not stopped.

No response from Thailand

At present, there has been no official response from the Thai authorities on these allegations of Cambodia. However, due to the already ongoing allegations and counter-allegations between the two countries, the situation has become more sensitive.

Trump had announced ceasefire

Cambodia’s latest allegations have come at a time when US President Donald Trump had announced a day earlier that the leaders of Thailand and Cambodia had agreed to stop hostilities and re-implement the ceasefire. This agreement was reached after several days of deadly clashes, which threatened to break the ceasefire already in place.

Donald Trump had told through social media post that he had separate talks with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet. He also said that Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim played an important role in making this agreement possible.

The first ceasefire took place in July

It is noteworthy that the first ceasefire between the two countries took place in July, which was decided with the mediation of Malaysia. This agreement was advanced after pressure from Trump, when he warned that business facilities could be withdrawn if the rules were not followed. The agreement was formalized in more detail at a regional meeting in Malaysia in October, which Trump also attended.

According to the report of Bloomberg News Agency, Thailand has said that 10 of its soldiers were killed and dozens were injured in the recent violence. At the same time, Cambodia said that 10 civilians including a child have died and at least 60 people have been injured. However, Cambodia has not shared military casualty figures.

After the peace talks held on 6-7 November in Istanbul, Turkey failed once again, the Taliban government of Afghanistan has given a strict warning to Pakistan. Taliban says that if Pakistan ‘tests the tolerance’ of the Afghan government, the situation may reach war.

Peace talks in Istanbul again inconclusive
In the latest talks between Pakistan and Afghan Taliban, it could not be decided whether Afghanistan will take written action against TTP terrorists using its land or not. After this disagreement the talks broke down again.

Taliban minister warned
Afghanistan’s Tribal Affairs Minister Noorullah Noori cautioned Pakistan and said that Pakistan should not test the limits of patience of Afghans. He said, ‘If war breaks out, both the elders and youth of Afghanistan will stand up to fight.’ Noori advised Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif not to trust his technology too much and said that he should look at the condition of America and Russia, who had to face defeat in Afghanistan. He also said that Pakistan’s Sindh and Punjab provinces are “not far away”, and if tensions increase, the situation may worsen.

Pakistan had warned of direct confrontation
Earlier, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif had said that if the Istanbul talks fail, then Pakistan can go into direct conflict with the Taliban government. Taliban government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said that some groups of Pakistan army are not happy with the strong and stable government in Afghanistan. He said, these groups have always taken advantage of Afghanistan’s instability and crises. Now they want another conflict by making new excuses.

People lost their lives from both sides in the border conflict
Earlier, peace talks between Pakistan and Afghan Taliban started in Istanbul on Thursday, the aim of which was to deal with the issue of cross-border terrorism and to prevent tension between the two sides. There were casualties on both sides in the clash that took place between the soldiers deployed on the border on October 11.

Pakistan claims that at least 206 Afghan Taliban and 110 Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) members were killed in this clash, while 23 Pakistani soldiers were also killed. A ceasefire was agreed upon between the two sides on October 15, which was taken forward during talks held in Doha on October 19 and Istanbul on October 25.

The ongoing peace talks in Istanbul between Pakistan and Afghan Taliban have failed. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif confirmed that the talks have ended without any success.

CNN-News18 quoted sources as saying that Khawaja Asif has said that the Taliban regime is not giving written guarantees to stop cross-border terrorism and also the mediators involved in this process are now fed up with the deadlock. Asif said, “The talks in Istanbul have failed.” He further said that he does not believe that another round of mediation will happen anytime soon.

Khwaja Asif accused Taliban
Khawaja Asif accused the Taliban of not being serious about tackling terrorism in the region and stressed that Islamabad will continue to use all necessary options to protect its people and sovereignty. Let us tell you that these failed talks took place amid increasing tension on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Earlier this week, there was firing between Pakistan and Afghan armies near the Chaman border, breaking the temporary ceasefire. During that time officials from both sides were in Istanbul for peace talks.

Afghanistan blames Pakistan
According to the report of news agency AFP, Afghan military sources have claimed that Pakistan used light and heavy weapons and targeted civilian areas. Afghan forces reportedly opened fire out of respect for the ongoing talks. On the other hand, Islamabad denied the allegations and insisted that the firing was initiated by Afghanistan and Pakistani forces responded in a restrained and responsible manner.

Pakistan’s Information Ministry said in a post on X that we strongly reject the claims circulated by the Afghan side regarding today’s incident on the Pak-Afghan border in Chaman.

US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that the peace made between India and Pakistan in May was possible only because of his stern warning. Trump said that he had given a clear message to both the neighboring countries. If they do not stop mutual conflict, America will not make any trade agreement with them.

Trump again repeated his old claim

During the America Business Forum held in Miami, Trump said, “I was negotiating a trade deal with both India and Pakistan. Then I got the news that a war-like situation had arisen between the two countries. Seven planes have fallen, the eighth is also badly damaged. Then I said, “If you guys fight, I will not do business with anyone.”

Trump jokingly said that all this happened because of his tariff policy. He further said, “I explained to them that both are nuclear power countries, trade is better than war. The very next day I got a call that both the countries have agreed on a ceasefire. I said – great, now do business.”

India rejected Trump’s claim

This is not the first time that Trump has called himself a peace messenger in the India-Pakistan conflict. According to reports, he has repeated this claim more than 60 times in the last six months that because of him the tension between the two countries reduced. However, India has completely rejected this claim and said that no third country is involved in its bilateral affairs.

Before May, India had launched ‘Operation Vermillion’, which was in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Under this mission, terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK were targeted. This action, which lasted for four days, ended on May 10, when both the countries announced a ceasefire.

Trump further said that he has ended the old disputes not only between India and Pakistan but also between many other countries. “Kosovo-Serbia, Congo-Rwanda, Armenia-Azerbaijan. Many such conflicts which were going on for decades, I resolved in an hour.” He said that America is maintaining peace on the strength of power and now no country wants to clash with America.

On the question of America giving Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, President Donald Trump has clearly said that no such decision has been taken at present, but the situation may change in the future. He stressed that the priority now should be for Ukraine and Russia to jointly find a peaceful solution to this dispute. Trump said, “We do not want the war to spread further. Both countries have been fighting for the last three years.”

On the questions of journalists, Trump reiterated that till now no concrete decision has been taken to give Tomahawk, but his reaction may change in future. Recently, there was talk of a meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest, which was later postponed. Apart from this, on October 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also met Trump and at that time Kiev had indicated that America could consider long-range missiles so that talks could be held with Russia. However, Zelensky could not go back with concrete support from America at that time.

Russia gave this warning

Russia has also warned that if America gives long-range missiles like Tomahawk to Ukraine, then further tension in US-Russian relations may increase. Russian media and officials said this could create a perception of America being directly involved in the war, which would further complicate the situation.

Where are Tomahawk missiles used?

If we pay attention to the technical aspect of Tomahawk missiles, they have been in use by the armed forces for decades. They are usually fired from submarines or warships and are designed to target infrastructure or remote targets. There is an ongoing debate among governments and analysts as to what impact the supply of such weapons will have on regional security and geo-strategic balance.

There are signs of improvement in relations between America and China. In the meeting held in Malaysia, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and China’s Defense Minister Admiral Dong Jun said that both the countries will now increase mutual dialogue and strengthen relations.

Hegseth wrote on social media platform

He said that both the countries have agreed to pursue peace, stability and good relations. Hegseth said that Trump’s “G2 meeting” has laid the foundation for long-term peace and cooperation between the US and China.

US Defense Secretary said this big thing

The Defense Secretary said that both the countries have decided that direct military-to-military communication will be started to prevent any dispute or misunderstanding.

What did President Donald Trump say?

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump also said in his post that his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping was very successful. He said that this meeting has opened the way for “lasting peace and success” between the two countries.

The two leaders met during the APEC conference

This meeting of the two leaders took place during the APEC conference in Busan city of South Korea. Trump said that China has promised to purchase large quantities of soybean and other agricultural products from America. “This is a good and credible step by President Xi,” he said.

Experts are considering this meeting as a new turning point in the direction of increasing trust and cooperation between the two countries, which can prove important for global peace and economic stability in the future.

Trump took a big step after meeting Xi Jinping

Many important decisions were taken in the meeting between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping in South Korea. An agreement was reached between the two countries regarding tariffs, in which Trump announced that the duty on China would be reduced from 57% to 47%. The US President described the meeting as wonderful and said that this will further strengthen the economic relations between the two countries. He also said that China will soon resume purchasing American soybeans, which had been halted in recent months. Trump said that this decision will prove to be a big relief for American farmers and will help in maintaining trade balance.

Pakistan-Afghanistan peace talks being held in Istanbul finally broke down after 4 days of talks. Meanwhile, reports have revealed that the real reason for the standoff was Islamabad’s secret agreement allowing US drone strikes from its soil, and not Indian interference.

According to Tolo News, Afghan negotiators demanded a written commitment from Pakistan to stop violating Afghan airspace and stop foreign drone flights over their territory. In return, Kabul promised to prevent anti-Pakistan terrorist groups, including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), from operating across the border. However, the talks broke down when the Pakistani delegation reportedly admitted that a foreign country was conducting drone operations from their territory, which Tolo News later confirmed was the US.

What is the agreement between Pakistan and America
The Afghan outlet said in a report that for the first time during these talks, Pakistan admitted that it had an agreement with the US allowing drone strikes and claimed that it could not break that agreement. Under the leadership of Donald Trump, Pakistan has strengthened defense cooperation with America. Meanwhile, Trump has asked the Taliban to return the Bagram airbase to America and warned that failing to do so will have serious consequences.

Khwaja Asif accused India
Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif accused India of failing the talks. He told Geo News that Delhi is controlling the people sitting in Kabul who are playing the puppet game. Afghan media reported that Asif did not explain how his delegation’s stance changed immediately after the phone call confirming Pakistan’s inability to stop US drones.

Afghan journalist Tamim Bahis wrote on

Afghan Defense Minister Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid has warned Islamabad that any new violation of Afghan airspace will be met with a reciprocal response.

The peace talks between Afghanistan and Pakistan in Turkey do not seem to yield any concrete results. The ceasefire between the two countries after the war still remains fragile. According to Afghanistan’s Tolo News, Pakistan has admitted during the talks that they have an agreement with a country, on the basis of which drone attacks were carried out.

The report quoted a source as saying that the Pakistani delegation has expressed its inability to stop drone attacks inside Afghanistan, as it is bound by an agreement with a third country.

Pakistan cannot stop drone attacks even if it wants to

Tolo News reported about the peace talks taking place in Ankara, Turkey that it has also been revealed that for the first time, Pakistan has accepted an agreement with another country allowing drone attacks and it cannot stop such attacks even if it wants to, because it is not possible to break this agreement.

The Pakistani delegation has asked the Afghan team to agree that Islamabad has the right to carry out attacks inside Afghanistan during TTP attacks. The source said the Pakistani delegation appeared disorganized, not making any coherent arguments and focusing more on withdrawing from the talks.

Pakistan wants to attack Afghanistan against TTP
According to Tolo News report, at one point he even requested Afghanistan to accept Pakistan’s right to attack Afghan soil in response to TTP attacks. Let us tell you that this report has come a month after the signing of the historic strategic defense agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, in which mutual defense against any external threat and commitment to deepen military and economic ties was expressed.

The peace talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan held in Qatar’s capital Doha recently have reportedly hit a deadlock, as Islamabad has accused the Taliban of taking a different stance on security issues besides cooperating in anti-terrorism efforts.

The second round of talks took place in the Turkish capital Istanbul on Saturday, which was organized in view of the ceasefire of October 16. This ended the deadliest conflict between the two sides since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 2021.

Pakistan accused Taliban
Pakistan has made clear and evidence-based demands to the Taliban to curb cross-border terrorism, but the Islamic group’s illogical arguments have raised serious doubts about their willingness to cooperate, the report said, Pakistan’s Geo News reported.

Radio Pakistan reported that the second round of talks focused on creating a joint monitoring and inspection mechanism to curb cross-border terrorist activities and reducing trade barriers. The possibility of building a long-term political understanding between the two sides was also discussed in the discussion.

Islamabad warned
Geo News, quoting sources, has said in the report that Taliban is not ready to cooperate or accept the ground realities. It said that Turkiye is trying to help the Taliban delegation understand the seriousness of Pakistan’s concerns. The report said Islamabad has warned that providing any kind of shelter to terrorists targeting its territory would be unacceptable.

As soon as the second round of talks began, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif warned that if peace talks fail, a full-scale war will break out with the Taliban. Speaking to reporters, he said that there has been no clash on the border in the last four-five days and 80 percent of the points agreed upon in the first round of talks in Doha have already been implemented.
