Earthquake in India: After the devastation caused by the earthquake in Myanmar, the earth has once again moved in India. People felt earthquake tremors in Leh, the capital of Union Territory Ladakh. According to the National Earthquake Science Center, the intensity of the earthquake on the Richter scale was 4.2. At present, there is no notice of any casualty.

After a powerful earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand’s capital Bangkok on Friday (28 March 2025), mild earthquake tremors were also felt in Kolkata and Imphal. Nepal also caused a 6.1 magnitude earthquake in the morning of Friday (28 March 2025), with shocks in Bihar, Siliguri and other neighboring areas of India. The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center confirmed that the earthquake was in Bhairavakunda in Sindhupalachouk district, about 65 km from Kathmandu.

Nepal is one of the most active seismic regions in the world, where the risk of earthquakes continues. Residents of the border areas of India and Tibet also reported the earthquake felt before the earthquake in Myanmar. Many countries including India have sent relief material after the earthquake in Myanmar.

Under Operation Brahma, the Indian Army deployed an 118 -member specific team of Shatrujit Brigade, known as Airborne Angels. After being airlifted by two powerful IAF-C17 aircraft, the army set up a 200-bed field hospital in Mandalay.
