The recent statement of Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir has brought a stir on the international stage. He threatened a nuclear attack against India on the US visit, which has been taken very seriously in the US. Former US Pentagon officer Michael Rubin described this statement as completely unacceptable and said that it questions Pakistan’s global image. Rubin even said that the time has come that the world should think whether Pakistan is eligible to maintain its place as a responsible country.

Michael Rubin compared General Munir’s rhetoric directly to Osama bin Laden’s speeches. He suggested that the US should immediately withdraw the status of Major Non-Nato Ally from Pakistan. In addition, he demanded that Pakistan be put in the list of State Sponsor of Terrorism, which can increase the ban and pressure on global levels. According to Rubin, Pakistan should be the first non-Nato ally in this category.

Rubin raised questions on American generals
Rubin also surprised why when Asim Munir threatened this from the US land, why did the American generals not walkout with him with meetings. He called it a serious lapse and said that the generals who did not do so should resign immediately. This comment also indirectly pressurize the US military establishment, which is likely to adopt more strict attitude in such cases in the coming times.

Potential diplomatic results
Rubin demands that until Pakistan officially explains and forgives this statement, General Munir and any other Pakistani officer should be declared as Persona Non Greta (unwanted person) in the US. This would mean that these officers will not get American visa and they will not be able to step on American soil.

India Pakistan Conflict: Tension has not come down even after ceasefire between India and Pakistan. After India’s diplomatic action, now Pakistan has also taken action on an Indian diplomat. Pakistan on Tuesday (May 13, 2025) declared a member of the Indian High Commission of involvement in the activities contrary to the privileged situation and declared him a “unwanted person”. In a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, it was also said that the concerned officer has been instructed to leave Pakistan within 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, “The Government of Pakistan has declared a member of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad as an unwanted person due to his involvement in the activities contrary to his privileged position.” The statement said in the statement that the Indian High Commissioner was called to the Ministry of External Affairs and informed about the decision.

India expelled Pakistani officer

Earlier on Tuesday, India expelled a Pakistani officer working in the Pakistan High Commission due to his involvement in alleged espionage. The Ministry of External Affairs said that this officer was not behaving according to the dignity of his diplomatic post in India, so he has been asked to leave the country within 24 hours. This action was taken by both India and Pakistan, amidst the increased tension after a four-day military confrontation. India also issued an objection to the Pakistani High Commissioner in New Delhi on the activities of the officer. The Ministry of External Affairs did not inform the allegations against the Pakistani officer, but according to sources, these allegations are related to a spy case, which the Punjab Police is investigating.

What did the Ministry of External Affairs say by issuing a statement?

The Ministry of External Affairs said, “The Government of India has declared a Pakistani officer working at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi due to his involvement in the activities not being in line with the official post in India.” The statement said, “The officer has been asked to leave India within 24 hours. An objection in this regard was issued to the in -charge of Pakistan High Commission today.

Punjab Police is investigating the case of espionage

The Punjab Police on Sunday said that it had arrested two people, including a woman, for alleged involvement in the detective activities associated with a Pakistani officer posted at the Pakistani High Commission in Delhi. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said that on the basis of reliable intelligence information, two people have been arrested for leaking sensitive information to the bosses in Pakistan regarding the activities of the Indian Army.

After the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, there has been more tussle in the relations between India and Pakistan. After this incident, the demand to take a tough stand against Pakistan in India has intensified. Meanwhile, a big question has also arisen that what will be the future of the Pakistani students who come to study in India’s universities every year?

Thousands of students from countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tanzania enroll in the universities of India every year. In this list, students of Pakistan are also included, who study in professional courses like Medical, Engineering, Management and Law of India. But getting an Indian visa for the students of Pakistan is not less than a difficult exam.

According to the rules of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Pakistani students have to get permission from the governments of both countries for admission in India. It is not enough to take admission in university only, they have to give evidence of being financially capable and the police has to give complete information about living in India.

 Easy Visa

Talking about data, every year a large number of Pakistani students apply for higher education in India. But most of them do not get visas. Many times applications are rejected due to security reasons. And now, this can be even more difficult after events like Pahalgam.

 Dream can remain incomplete

Now the question is, what will happen to the Pakistani students who have completed the process of admission in India, but what will happen to the visa? Will India’s policy become more strict after Pahalgam? In such a situation, the dream of these students can remain incomplete.

 Government has taken tough decisions

The Government of India has taken many tough decisions.
