Petrol Excise Duty News: The government has told a good news to the people. Excise duty on ethanol mixed petrol has been abolished. This means that now excise duty will not be imposed on petrol with 22% to 30% ethanol. This news is no less than a gift for the general public. Now, if the demand for cheap petrol containing ethanol will increase, it will benefit not only the general public but also the farmers, since ethanol is produced mainly from sugarcane, corn and spoiled grains.

Let us tell you that the price of crude oil is increasing so much that now it has reached $ 114 per barrel. Its direct effect is that the import bill is increasing. In such a situation, the government has laid emphasis on alternative fuels, so that imports can be reduced and the condition of the rupee can also be improved.

What is excise duty?
Excise duty i.e. excise duty is an indirect tax, which is imposed on things manufactured or produced within a country. Excise duty is mainly imposed on products like liquor, tobacco and petroleum.

There is no change in the price of gas cylinder, know the rates of domestic and commercial LPG from Delhi to Patna.

Rules for zeroing out excise duty-
According to the new order of the government, now excise duty on petrol having ethanol blend of 22%, 25%, 27% and 30% has been abolished. The only condition in this decision is that this fuel should be prepared as per the rules and standards of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

Which fuel is cheaper, E85 or E20?
E20 i.e. 20 percent ethanol mix petrol was being promoted in the country, but to keep the country safe amid global turmoil, India has recently launched E85 fuel in the market. E85 fuel is 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent petrol. Let us tell you that E85 fuel is cheaper by Rs 20 per liter than E20.

Cheap Diesel: After giving cheap petrol, now the Indian government is preparing to give cheap diesel to the public. Indian Government Minister Nitim Gadkari himself has said this. Nitin Gadkari recently said during an address that now cheap diesel will also be made in India on the lines of cheap petrol. Just as ethanol is being used in making petrol, similarly Isobutinol will be used in making diesel.

What is Isobutinol?
First of all let us know what is isobutinol. Isobutanol is a type of alcohol and industrial chemical, which is mainly used in the manufacturing of fuel, paint, coating, solvent and other chemicals. It is also seen as an alternative to traditional fuels, because it is considered useful as biofuel in the energy sector.

Also read: Leave from work forever! Know what is that ‘Freedom Number’ which will make you retire young

Benefits of diesel with isobutanol
Just as E-85 fuel has many benefits, diesel with isobutanol also has many benefits. Learn here:

This can help in reducing the total cost of diesel.

Isobutanol mixed diesel will reduce the dependence on import of crude oil.

With the help of this diesel, carbon emissions and pollution will be reduced.

Farmers can get extra income by producing from agricultural residues and biomass.

The efficiency and combustion process of the vehicle engine can be improved.

Compared to traditional diesel, it is considered a more environment-friendly fuel.

Can help in increasing energy security and promoting alternative fuels.

Let us tell you that the government plans to mix 15 percent isobutanol in diesel, so that the price of diesel can be reduced. This will have little impact on the public’s pockets. Although the government has launched ethanol fuel, at present people have less knowledge about it, so they are avoiding filling their vehicles with this fuel. In such a situation, the government taking such risk for diesel is creating a situation of confusion.

Petrol Diesel News: Inflation is continuously increasing in the country, it starts with the prices of oil. Which has increased for the fourth consecutive time in 10 days. Now after the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, there has been a slight reduction in the losses incurred by the oil companies. Information about this has been given by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas itself. In which the Joint Secretary of the Ministry has said that there has been a reduction in the losses incurred by the government oil companies due to selling fuel at a lower price than the cost.

Update came from the ministry
In fact, recently, Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, told during a press briefing on Monday that the prices of petrol and diesel have increased by four steps by about Rs 7.5 per liter. Due to which the losses incurred by government oil companies due to selling fuel below cost have reduced. This loss has reduced to approximately Rs 600 crore per day.

Also read: Increase of Rs 7 is also less! Crude oil is cheap, yet petrol and diesel can become more expensive, know the reason

He further said that before the price revision started on May 15, the loss on sale of petrol, diesel and domestic cooking gas LPG was about Rs 1,000 crore per day. Now this loss is a little less than Rs 600 crore per day. This loss also includes the loss incurred from the sale of domestic LPG. LPG sold for domestic use is a subsidized product, and the difference between the cost and the retail selling price is met by the government.

On the other hand, petrol and diesel are unregulated products whose price is determined by the market. Despite crude oil prices rising by more than 50 percent due to the war in Iran, state oil companies made losses on these products after keeping retail rates stable.

Also read: Shares of defense company became rocket, price jumped by 12%; The company has a strong order of Rs 1432 crore

Petrol and diesel prices increased for the fourth time
Let us tell you that today the prices of petrol and diesel have increased for the fourth time in the month of May. Today the price of petrol has increased by Rs 2.61 per liter and the price of diesel has been increased by Rs 2.71 per liter. Due to which inflation is also continuously increasing. At the same time, speculations are also being made that there may be further increase in the coming time.

Petrol Limit Set: The country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address a few days ago, had asked people to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel. A few days later, the prices of petrol and diesel were increased. Due to which the news spread among the people that there is a shortage of petrol and diesel in the country. Meanwhile, it is being claimed on social media that the government has set a limit on petrol and diesel.

What is the viral claim?
In fact, such news is going viral on social media that the limit of petrol and diesel has been set in Chandigarh. In a post going viral, a social media user has shared a poster on which it is written, ‘Petrol-diesel quota fixed in Chandigarh. Petrol will not be available more than Rs 500 in 2 wheeler and Rs 1500 in four wheeler. In such a situation, posters are also being put up on petrol pumps. The user who shared this news has also expressed concern over it. This user has written at the end of his post, ‘The crisis has started.’ However, the government itself has now brought out the truth of this viral claim.

What is the truth of the viral claim?
Now the truth of this viral claim has been brought forward by the government itself. Government agency PIB Fact Check, while sharing the post on X (Twitter), has termed this post as fake. Along with this he wrote, ‘It is being claimed in the post on social media that limits have been fixed on petrol and diesel in Chandigarh, under which a maximum of Rs 500 petrol or diesel can be given to two-wheelers and a maximum of Rs 1500 to four-wheelers at a time. According to PIB fact check, this claim is fake.

Normal vs Premium Petrol: These days there is a lot of discussion going on across the country regarding petrol. Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi has talked about curbing fuel consumption, people are feeling that its prices may increase. However, at present no announcement or concrete information has come out regarding this. In the meantime, we will give you a little information about petrol, do you know that two types of petrol are used in India.

There are mainly two types of petrol available in India, first is normal petrol and second is premium petrol. The job of both is to drive a car, but both have different features and there is a lot of difference in their prices.

Also read: VD Satheesan Net Worth: How rich is Kerala Captain CM Satheesan, how much cash is there? Know your net worth

What is normal petrol?
Normal petrol is the fuel which is generally used in everyday vehicles, bikes, scooters and cars. It is also called regular petrol. In India, the octane number of plain petrol is usually 91, which is considered sufficient for vehicles with normal engines.

What is premium petrol?
Premium petrol is a special type of petrol, in which higher octane and some advanced additives are added than normal petrol. It is considered better for high-performance vehicles. The octane number of premium petrol in India is usually 95 or more.

Difference between normal petrol and premium petrol?

There is a difference in the octane number of both, which tells how easily and controlled the fuel burns in the engine.

High octane petrol works better in high-performance engines and reduces the problem of knocking or noise in the engine.

Some special additives are added to premium petrol, which help in keeping the engine clean, preventing carbon accumulation and improving engine performance.

Due to this, sometimes a slight improvement is seen in the smoothness and mileage of the vehicle.

Also read: Petrol News: Not Delhi or Mumbai, people of this state are drinking the most petrol, figures will surprise you

Which petrol should be put in which car?
If the engine of your vehicle is normal and the company has advised normal petrol, then fill only plain petrol. But the company often recommends using high octane fuel in sports bikes, luxury cars or vehicles with turbo engines. Premium petrol performs better in such vehicles.

There is a difference in price also
The price of premium petrol is always 8 to 15 rupees more per liter than normal petrol. This difference may change depending on the city and company. Talking about the prices, the price of normal petrol in Delhi is currently Rs 94.81 per liter. So the price of premium petrol had increased in March, after which it has become Rs 113.77.

Petrol-Diesel Price Today: The month of May can give shocks to the public on the inflation front. It started on May 1 with commercial gas cylinders becoming expensive. Now another news may bother you. The news coming from government sources is enough to give sleepless nights to the common man. A huge jump in the prices of petrol and diesel can be seen in the coming few days.

According to government sources, the prices of petrol and diesel may increase by Rs 4 to 5 per liter because oil companies are incurring losses. The government is seriously considering revising fuel prices. If this happens, it will directly affect the freight transportation and the cost of your journey. That means, not only oil, but everything from vegetables to milk will become expensive.

Big decision of Air India, 100 flights will be cut daily, inflation stopped flights

Why can petrol and diesel become expensive?

In fact, after the Iran War and Hormuz crisis, fluctuations in international crude oil prices and global economic uncertainty are being said to be the main reasons for this. Oil companies have been pressurizing for a long time to increase prices to compensate for their losses. Although no official announcement has been made by the government yet, sources say that this decision can be taken at any time.

When petrol and diesel become expensive, it does not only affect the drivers, but everyone from the pump sets used in farming to the delivery boys gets affected by it. That means the price of every item increases.

Big decision of Hotel Association, customers will have to pay for expensive cylinders, prices will increase in restaurants

Fuel prices were stable for some time, which brought some relief to the public. But now this possible increase is going to act as ‘ghee in the fire of inflation’. If you want to fill your tank then now is probably the right time.

Petrol-Diesel Price Hike News: There is going to be such a storm of inflation in the country which will spoil the entire mathematics of your house. Such news is coming out from the government corridors, which is going to directly rob your pocket. Sources have said that the government is going to take a major decision on oil prices within the next five to seven days.

According to government sources, the government is keeping a close eye on the changing conditions in West Asia and its impact on the global energy market. Even though the final approval has not been given yet, the indications are clear that there may be a sharp increase in the prices of petrol and diesel very soon. There is a sword hanging over the head, because internal discussions are in full swing and officials are assessing how much burden should be put on the public.

Big decision of Air India, 100 flights will be cut daily, inflation stopped flights

There is a possibility of increase in the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 4 to 5.

Let us tell you that there is a possibility of a rise of 4 to 5 rupees in the price of petrol and diesel. The government is currently standing at a ‘crossroads’. On one hand there is financial pressure of oil companies and on the other hand there is fear of rising inflation. But the public now needs to step in cautiously, because if these prices increase, it will directly impact your plate and your journey.

Any increase in the prices of fuel and cooking gas has a wide-ranging impact. When diesel becomes expensive, the fare of trucks increases and when the fare increases, everything from fruits and vegetables to essential goods becomes expensive. This is going to be a tough task for the middle class, because the household budget is already stretched.

Big decision of Hotel Association, customers will have to pay for expensive cylinders, prices will increase in restaurants

Government trying to strike a balance – Sources

Sources said that the government is currently trying to strike a balance so that inflation does not go out of control, but in this era of global uncertainty, this is a very sensitive policy decision. Alarm bells have rung and the picture is expected to become clear in the next week.

Petrol-Diesel Price News: Another big inflation bomb is about to explode in your pocket. The prices of petrol and diesel are going to increase in the country. Government sources have indicated that a huge increase in the prices of petrol and diesel cannot be ruled out in the near future. This means that the prices which were stable for the last four years, are now ready to spoil your budget.

Crude oil prices are on fire

Government sources told news agency PTI that there is panic in the global oil market due to the increasing war between America and Iran and stalled peace talks. This time international crude oil prices have reached the highest level of four years of $ 126 per barrel. Now the eyes of the whole world are fixed on the ‘Strait of Hormuz’.

Why will prices increase in India?

In fact, the losses of government oil companies are now becoming unbearable. Retail prices were kept stable for the last four years, but now the situation has changed. According to Oil Ministry officials, companies are incurring a loss of about Rs 20 per liter on petrol and about Rs 100 per liter on diesel. Crude oil, which was 70 dollars last year, now averages beyond 114 dollars.

Earlier it was estimated that oil prices in the country could rise by Rs 25 to Rs 28 per litre. However, these reports were completely rejected by the government.

Recently, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) issued a statement on behalf of the industry saying that despite the huge increase in international energy costs, there is no increase in the rates of petrol, diesel and domestic LPG.

LPG gas cylinder became expensive today

Let us tell you that today, on the first of May, companies have increased the prices of commercial LPG, industrial diesel and jet fuel. Now it is the turn of common man for petrol and diesel. At present petrol in Delhi is Rs 94.77 and diesel is Rs 87.67.
