Petrol-Diesel News: The prices of petrol and diesel have increased twice in just four days. This has put a huge burden on the pockets of the common man. In many cities of the country, the increase in fuel prices has had the biggest impact on the common people as well as farmers and drivers, due to which there is a lot of resentment among them. People say that it is wrong to increase prices even after the war in the Middle East has stopped. Due to petrol and diesel becoming expensive, daily expenses and inflation also increase continuously, hence they are also worried about this.

Petrol and diesel prices increased twice in four days
On May 15, 2026, petrol prices across the country were increased by Rs 3 14 paise. So there was an increase of 3 rupees 11 paise in the prices of diesel. After just 4 days i.e. on 19th May, petrol in Debhar has increased by 86 paise and diesel by 83 paise. Overall, petrol has become costlier by Rs 4 and diesel by Rs 3.94 paise. Due to which the prices of petrol and diesel have increased and become different in every state.

• In Jaipur, petrol has reached Rs 108.90 and diesel Rs 94.14 per liter.
• In Mohali (Punjab), petrol is being sold at Rs 102.41 and diesel at Rs 92.20 per liter.
• In Bhopal, petrol is available at Rs 110.74 and diesel at Rs 95.90 per litre.
• In Patna, petrol is available at Rs 110.09 and diesel at Rs 96.11 per litre.

Impact of increase in petrol and diesel prices on the public
The increase in prices of petrol and diesel is going to affect everyone including the general public, drivers, employed people and students. In such a situation, there is anger among the public regarding this. Regarding this, taxi and auto drivers said that their earnings are being affected due to rising fuel prices. At the same time, students and working people say that their budget is getting spoiled due to daily use of bike. People believe that due to petrol and diesel becoming expensive, the prices of other essential goods will also increase.

Crisis like situation in Maharashtra
The effect of increasing prices of petrol and diesel is being seen equally in Maharashtra also. Due to this, huge crowd was seen at many petrol pumps in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Buldhana, Palghar and Chikhali. Due to shortage of diesel and petrol at many places, long lines were formed. Farmers also appeared upset due to not getting diesel for their tractors. No stock situation also emerged at some petrol pumps.

In view of this crisis situation, the administration and petrol pump operators have also appealed that people should buy fuel within the limit. The district administration has asked people to ignore rumors and buy fuel only as per their need. Some petrol pump operators have also decided that they will not fill the tanks of the vehicles so that everyone can get fuel.
