According to the report of Fortune India, Secretary General Sudarshan Jain of the Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA) of India has said, the executive order of the US government means bringing balance in innovation, access and healthcare cost. Development and research in life science requires more investment with a long time and there is more risk in it.

He further said, “The executive order stressed that the expenditure on innovation should be equally divided into all.” This order of Trump will have more effect on Innovat companies as they will now have to adopt new prices fixed by the Government Health Department for their medicines. If this is not done, then pharma companies can be cut in funds received by the government.

Now everyone will pay equal price

Trump wrote in one of his posts, “The world has been thinking for many years that the prices of prescription drugs and pharmaceuticals in America are so much than other countries?” The same drug made by the same company in the same lab or plant is sold here at five to ten times more. This will help to ensure that America will also have to pay the same price which will have to pay the lowest price in the world. This will bring impartiality and the difference in prices of medicines will also be reduced globally.

On this executive order of Trump, the think tank GTRI says that if medicines in America are cheap, then the patients there will get benefit, but pharma companies will try to earn profits from other places. This can increase the prices of drugs in countries like India.
