Also, a call number and the name of ‘KYC Verification Executive’ has also been given, so that the notice looks real. But after looking carefully, it is clear that there are many disturbances in its language, layout and information.

PIB also stated that the purpose of such fake messages is to scare people and steal their personal and bank details. As soon as you call or click on the link, scammers can ask for your OTP, Aadhaar or account details, which can make fraud transactions.

In such cases, many times users are told that their “SIM service will be suspended immediately”, due to which people give information about fear. But the government has clarified that no mobile service provider, whether BSNL or any other KYC send any ultimatum notice in this way.
