Directed by Shoojit Sarkar, the comedy drama stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan in the lead roles, with Moushumi Chatterjee, Jishu Sengupta and Raghubir Yadav. Directed by Shoojit Sarkar, the film revolves around Deepika Padukone’s ‘Piku’ and his old but irritable father Bhaskar Banerjee (Amitabh Bachchan), who come close to each other through the road trip from Delhi to Kolkata despite their different ideologies and quarrels over small things. Irfan Khan plays a taxi business honor Rana Chaudhary, who runs a car himself in this road trip.
