Property:- Shopping for new property, flat, land or shops etc. is also prohibited during Pitru Paksha. At this time, these things purchased increase the influence of Pitra dosha in the family. Along with the house etc., you should also avoid purchasing of new vehicle at the time of Pitra Paksha. Vehicles for this time give inauspicious results.

Jewelry-jewelery: One should avoid shopping for gold-silver jewelery or jewelery in the fortnight of Pitru Paksha. Pitra is angry with doing this. Also, new clothes should not be purchased in the ancestral side. In these days, you should wear old and ordinary clothes.

New utensils:- In the 15 days of Pitra Paksha, new utensils should not be purchased for the house. You can also use old utensils or leaves of the house for Shraddha Karma etc.

Electronics goods:- It is inauspicious to buy fridge, computers, machines etc. in the ancestral side. During this time, if you do not shop for the goods related to indulgence, then it will be better.

Kitchen items:- Some materials related to the kitchen like mustard oil, broom and salt should not be purchased during Pitra Paksha. It is believed that it causes Tridosha and faces many troubles. Therefore, you should buy these things in advance.

Starting from Bhadrapada Purnima, Pitru Paksha runs till Ashwin Amavasya. In these 15 days, people perform Shraddha, Pindadan or Tarpan etc. of their dead ancestors etc. This brings peace to the souls of the ancestors and they are happy and bless their dynasty.

Pindadan and Shraddha in Pitru Paksha is a special occasion to express respect for the ancestors and pay tribute to them. But at this time, some of the work done by you inadvertently can also make Pitra sad.

The crow is considered to be the form of ancestors. Therefore, the food made for fathers in Shraddha is also extracted for crows. Along with this, the arrival of birds like pigeon, goureya in the ancestral side can also be the form of the arrival of ancestors.

At the time of Pitra Paksha, animals like cows and dogs should not be disrespectful. If these animals come to the door of the house, then instead of abusing them, they should definitely give them something to eat. Pitra will be pleased with this.

Tulsi- It is also good to plant a basil plant at home at the time of Pitru Paksha. At this time, planetary plants are removed by planting a basil plant. Also, Lakshminarayan’s blessings are also received.

Banyan- Banyan or Vat tree is considered a symbol of longevity and immortality. Banyan tree is also worshiped during Pitru Paksha. By planting Vat tree in Pitru Paksha, ancestors bless their descendants. But keep in mind that put on an open place outside the house of the Vat tree.

At the time of Pitru Paksha, pregnant woman should not consume tamasic food (non-vegetarian, garlic-onion and more fried roast). During this time, take satvic food only. This will keep both mind and body peace, which is also good for the child.

Whatever food is made for the ancestors in the Shraddha of Pitru Paksha, it should not avoid touching the pregnant woman nor should it eat. Pind should not go to places with donations during pregnancy.

This year, in 2025, the first and last day of Pitra Paksha will also be eclipsed. In such a situation, pregnant women need to be very careful. Get out of the house at the time of eclipse, apply ocher on the stomach and avoid the use of sharp things.
