Vastu Tips: Trees have been given special importance and status in ancient Indian scriptures. Some trees and plants are considered worshipable and some inauspicious. Trees and plants bring good luck and positive energy to the house. But there are some trees whose shadow falling on the house is considered inauspicious.

It is clearly stated in Vaastu Shastra and Puranas that the energy of some trees is so strong that if their shadow falls directly on the house, it can cause obstacles, financial loss and mental stress for the homeowner and the entire family. Ficus tree- In Hindu religion, many trees and plants are considered sacred and revered. Peepal is also among these, which is considered a sacred tree from religious point of view. According to the scriptures, gods reside in Peepal tree. But along with this, ancestors are also said to reside in the Peepal tree. According to the scriptures, it is not considered auspicious for the shadow of the Peepal tree to fall on the house. Even though its energy is spiritual, it affects the material comforts of the home and the balance of family life. Therefore, it is considered auspicious to plant Peepal tree only in temples, crossroads or open places. Therefore, take special care that this tree should not be near the house.

Tamarind tree- The shadow of the tamarind tree is called a heavy shadow in the scriptures. That is why even elders forbid going near the tamarind tree or sitting under the tamarind tree after sunset. It is believed that laziness, diseases and mental stress increase in the house where the shade of this tree falls or where a tamarind tree is planted.

Aegle Marmelos tree- From the religious point of view, the wood apple tree, its fruits and leaves are all considered very sacred. Especially this tree is very dear to Lord Shiva. But the vine tree is also thorny. According to Vastu, planting a thorny tree at home is not considered auspicious. Besides, having a huge vine tree very close to the house is also not considered auspicious. The reason for this is that the shadow of the vine contains violent energy, which can affect the peaceful atmosphere of the house. Therefore, it is considered most auspicious to plant it in open places or temples.

What to do if these trees are in or near your house

Along with Peepal, Bael, Tamarind, Madar, Date, Mehndi, Plum and Milky or thorny trees are also not considered auspicious for the house. But what should be done if these trees are already planted in or around the house? Let us know-

• Spray Ganga water at home once a week. This removes negative energy.
• At the time of sunset, definitely light a lamp at the main entrance of the house.
• Plant basil in the courtyard of your house. This automatically reduces the effect of any negative tree in the surrounding area.
• If possible, cut the branches of the tree in such a way that its shadow does not fall directly on the house.
