National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate Maharashtra has started a wonderful and big initiative for the youth of the state. In fact, a new program has been started under the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme (PMIS), the objective of which is to make the youth skilled and directly connect them with new employment opportunities. NCC cadets and ex-cadets will get the most benefit from this campaign, who will get the opportunity to work in big companies of the country, learn the skills necessary for the future and make a great career.

What is the vision of the theme from uniform to profession?

This special program has been started under the theme from Uniform to Profession. This simply means that the discipline, leadership and values ​​that cadets learn in NCC for serving the country, they will now use the same strength to make their place in private companies.

How big is the network of NCC Maharashtra?

The network of NCC Maharashtra is very big. Presently it is spread in more than 2000 schools and colleges in all 36 districts of the state, with which about 1.5 lakh cadets are associated. This step is directly linked to the national vision of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the promise of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to provide maximum professional opportunities to the youth of Maharashtra.

Camps will be organized in Pune and Mumbai

Under the first phase of this initiative, a partnership has been made with the famous hotel chain Lemon Tree Hotels. Under this, special placement camps are being organized in Pune and Mumbai. A total of 150 youth will be given the opportunity for corporate internship through these camps. Cadets of Senior Division, Senior Wing of NCC and graduated ex-cadets can participate in this.

Important information related to camp

• Pune Camp: The first pilot placement camp will be organized on 15 June 2026 at the center in Pune, where youth will be selected for 50 posts.
• Mumbai Camp: The second camp will be held in Mumbai on 16 June 2026, where youth will be selected for 100 posts.

In which areas will you get to learn work?

This internship has been designed to give the youth real experience of working in offices and hotels. The selected youth will get a chance to work in these main departments.

What will be the benefit of internship?

The purpose of this internship is not just to teach work. According to the rules of the Prime Minister Internship Scheme, all the selected candidates will be given a stipend every month. Apart from this, separate joining incentive will be given to start work, guidance from senior officers and complete training will be given to advance the career.

Special arrangements for girl cadets

Major General Vivek Tyagi, ADG, NCC Maharashtra, said that special steps have been taken with the cooperation of the Maharashtra government to promote the participation of women. Girl cadets coming from outside will be provided with secure accommodation and additional financial support, so that they can learn the job in a safe and supportive environment without any worries.
