Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to him on Thursday (2 October 2025) on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. He said that India will realize the dream of ‘self -sufficient’ and ‘developed India’ by following the path shown by him. PM Modi reached Rajghat on Thursday morning and also paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi.

PM Modi wrote in a post on social media platform X, “On Gandhi Jayanti, we remember the extraordinary life of our beloved Bapu, whose ideals changed human history. He showed how courage and simplicity could become a source of great change. They believed in the power of service and compassion, because they were an essential way to strengthen people. We were a need to strengthen people. We will remain in our goals of developing India.”

International non -violence day

Mahatma Gandhi is remembered for his life dedication to truth, non -violence and social justice on ‘Gandhi Jayanti’. This day not only respects their peace and ideology of moral life, but is also celebrated globally as International Non -Violence Day.

PM Modi also paid tribute to Lal Bahadur Shastri

Apart from Mahatma Gandhi, PM Modi also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. He wrote in another post on the X platform, “Lal Bahadur Shastri was a great politician whose honesty, humility and determination strengthened India. He also presented the example of leadership, power and decisive action even in challenging times. His slogan of ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ arouses a spirit of patriotism among our people. They also inspire us in our efforts to create a strong and self -sufficient India.” Please tell that Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on 2 October 1904 in Mughalsarai, Uttar Pradesh. Lal Bahadur Shastri became the second Prime Minister of India after the death of Jawaharlal Nehru in 1964.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing the Indus Water Treaty and the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai, attacked the Congress on Tuesday (July 29 2025) and said that after the independence of the country, it (Congress) has always compromised with national security. On the allegations of losing the opportunity to withdraw Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK) during Operation Sindoor, Modi said, “Those who are asking why PoK did not take back PoK, first will have to answer the question that whose government gave an opportunity to capture Pakistan on this area?”

Modi said, “In the year 1971, 93 thousand soldiers of Pakistan had captives. Thousands of kilometers of area was captured by our army. We were in a state of victory. During that time, if there was a little ‘vision’, it could have been decided to withdraw PoK. That was the opportunity that was abandoned. “Prime Minister Modi said,” The answer is clear, whenever I (Jawaharlal) I discuss Nehru ji, the Congress and its entire ‘ecosystem’ goes out. “

PM Modi said that keeping India’s interests “mortgage” is the old habit of the Congress and the biggest example of this is the Indus Water Agreement, which Nehru ji did with Pakistan. He said, “The Indus Water Agreement, India’s identity and self -respect was a great deception. A large part of the country was pushed into water crisis.

Taking a dig at the first Prime Minister of the country, PM Modi said that due to this agreement, the country was very lagging, “Our farmers suffered loss of farming. Nehru ji knew that ‘diplomacy’ in which the farmer had no existence.

Prime Minister Modi claimed that Nehru ji had accepted the condition at the behest of Pakistan that the silt that would be frozen in the dam cannot be cleaned. He said that later also the Congress governments did not even improve this mistake of Nehru ji, but this old mistake was now rectified and concrete decision was taken.

The Prime Minister said, “Nehru ji’s ‘Blunder’ (Indus Water Agreement) has now been suspended in the interest and farmer interest. India has decided that blood and water cannot flow together. ”He said that the Congress had no ‘vision’ of National Security (National Security) before and neither today and” has always compromised on national security. “

During the discussion on Operation Sindoor, the Prime Minister said about claiming diplomatic failure on behalf of the members of opposition parties in the Lok Sabha, “I want to remind us their diplomacy.”

He said that even after the terrorist attack in Mumbai on 26 November 2008, the Congress did not stop in love with Pakistan and within a few weeks of the attack, the Congress-Net UPA government started talking with Pakistan under foreign pressure. He said that the then Congress government did not dare to get a single (Pakistani) diplomat out of India after this incident and did not cancel a visa.

The Prime Minister said, “If our government can tighten terrorism, then what was the compulsion of the previous Congress governments that terrorism was allowed to flourish?” A major reason for this is their policy of appeasement and vote bank politics. ”

He mentioned that after the Batla House encounter, a big Congress leader had tears in the eyes and to get votes, the matter related to this incident was taken to every corner of the country.

He said that the UPA government had given Pakistan the status of ‘Most Faward Nation’ (most preferred country), which it never took back. He said, “On the one hand, the country was seeking justice for the Mumbai attack, on the other hand the Congress (government) was engaged in doing business with Pakistan.” Prime Minister Modi said that the decisions that have been taken since the independence of the country, the country is suffering till date.

He said, “The entire area of Aksai China was called barren land. Due to this, we had to lose 38,000 sq km of land of the country. Between 1962 and 1963, Congress leaders were proposing to leave Poonch, Uri and Neelam Valley and Kishanganga of Jammu and Kashmir. ”He said that in 1966, these people had accepted mediation on ‘Kutch Ka Ran’. He questioned whether it was his ‘vision of national security’.

Modi said, “The 800 sq km area of India was handed over to Pakistan, including Chhabet. At the same time, our army had won the Hajipir Pass (Pass in Jammu and Kashmir) in the 1965 war, but the then Congress government returned it. ”He said that Kartarpur Saheb could have been withdrawn but it was also released and 1974 Kachatiivu wasland Sri Lanka was ‘gifted’.

Taking a dig at the main opposition party, he said that a terrorist who carried out the Mumbai attack was caught, the whole world believed that he is a Pakistani, but the Congress party was trying to prove it as saffron terrorism. Modi alleged, “The Congress was trying to sell the ‘theory’ of Hindu terrorism to the world. The Prime Minister claimed that the Congress weakened the laws related to terrorism for appeasement. He said that “… our opinion should not be received, our mind must be found in the interest of the country.”

After the success of Operation Sindoor, he congratulated the MPs and others involved in the all -party representation sent to various countries. At the same time, he also said, “Those who consider themselves to be the big leaders of the Congress are having pain in their stomach, why India’s side was put before the world. Perhaps some leaders have been banned from speaking in the House. There is a need to get out of this mindset. ”

The Prime Minister said that the Congress colleagues are urged to stop giving a clin chit to Pakistan under the pressure of a family, which is the moment of victory of the country, the Congress should not make it a moment of ridicule of the country. Congress should rectify its mistake. ”

He said, “We will not let Pakistan play from the future of India. Therefore, the operation vermilion is not over. let’s Going On. And it is also a notice for Pakistan that India will continue to take ‘action’ until it stops the path of terror against India. ‘
