Besides, India is also preparing to host the 2036 Olympics ‘with full strength’.

Prime Minister Modi, who joined the inaugural program of the 72nd Senior National Volleyball Championship starting today in Varanasi online, said that in the last decade, more than 20 major international tournaments including FIFA Under-17 World Cup and Hockey World Cup have been organized in many cities. He said, ,The 2030 Commonwealth Games are also going to be held in India. India is also preparing to host the 2036 Olympics with full strength. The effort behind this is to ensure that more and more players get more and more opportunities to play.,

The Prime Minister said that today the country is riding on the ‘Reform Express’. Every sector of the country, every definition of development is joining this ‘Reform Express’ and the definition of sports is also one of them. He said, ,The government has also made major reforms in the field of sports., National Sports Administration Act and Khelo India Policy 2025… Such provisions will provide opportunities to the right talent, increase transparency in sports organizations and will also give the youth of the country an opportunity to move forward in both the fields of sports and education., On the one hand, we are creating good infrastructure and funding mechanisms and at the same time, we are also working to provide a great experience to the youth.,

Modi said that there was a time when there was an atmosphere of indifference towards sports in both the government and society., Very few youth used to adopt sports as a career but in the last decade, there is a change in the thinking of both the government and the society regarding sports., Referring to the efforts being made by his government in the field of sports, the Prime Minister said, ,We are also engaged in giving Olympic experience to the players at school level., Due to Khelo India campaign, hundreds of youth are getting an opportunity to come forward at the national level., Just a few days ago, Sansad Sports Mahotsav was also organized., In this also about one crore youth showed their talent, During the MP Sports Mahotsav, about three lakh youth of Meri Kashi also showed their strength on the field.,

Modi said that stadiums related to different sports are being built in Varanasi., Players from nearby districts are also getting the opportunity to train in the new sports complex., He said, “I am happy that Kashi is getting ready for big competitions. It is also very important for Kashi to make a place on the sports map of the country through the volleyball national competition.,
