Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin Tahwwur Rana has been accused of murder, conspiracy, involvement in terrorist activities and preparing fake documents. India alleges that Rana helped his childhood friend and US citizen David Coleman Headley, which could make Reiki to attack Mumbai.

Headley trained Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in Pakistan and was planning possible attacks in India. In 2013, Rana was sentenced to 14 years in jail by a US court, when he was found guilty in a conspiracy to attack a newspaper in Denmark. In the same case, David Headley also confessed to the blame in 12 terrorist cases and was sentenced to 35 years.
