PM Modi Trinidad Tobago Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a tour of Trinidad and Tobago. On Friday (July 4, 2025), a dinner was held in his honor there. During this time, food was served on a particular leaves of Sohari to eat them. On this occasion, PM Modi said that this leaf is very special for his culture. He also shared some pictures on social media, in which he is seen eating food with Trinidad and Tobago.

Prime Minister Modi said that Sohari leaf is very special for the people of Trinidad and Tobago, especially for people of Indian origin. Here food is served on this leaf in festivals and special programs. This leaf comes from a tropical plant, which is like a banana plant in India. People of Indian origin are still following the tradition of eating food on the leaf on special occasions.

PM Modi met Rana Moip

The Prime Minister met Rana Moip during dinner. He sang ‘Vaishnav Jan To’ on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi a few years ago. PM Modi said that Rana Moip has a deep attachment to Indian music and culture. During the dinner, he presented a replica of the Ram temple of Ayodhya to the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago. Along with this, he also presented the holy water of Mahakumbh in Saryu River and Prayagraj this year.

PM Modi said that these gifts are a symbol of deep cultural and spiritual relations between India and Trinidad-Tobago. His visit was the first bilateral visit of an Indian Prime Minister after 1999. Earlier on Thursday, Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Kamla Prasad Bisacer welcomed PM Modi at the PRCO International Airport. Here he received the Guard of Honor and traditional reception. Many cabinet ministers and MPs also came to welcome the Prime Minister.
