Pakistani Army and Rangers are firing heavily on the protesters in Rawalakot of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). The protests are not ending even after the Pakistani government banned the internet in POK and shot 53 people. This demonstration is increasing daily. Let us tell you that despite the firing, thousands of protesters are present in Rawalakot, who are facing the Pakistani army.

The protesters have given a clear warning to Pakistan’s Shehbaz Sharif government and Field Marshal Asim Munir that this protest will not end now and the protest will end only when the Pakistani army either kills them or the protesters destroy the Pakistani army.

According to local sources, a large number of people had gathered at the Idgah ground in Rawalkot. Meanwhile, the security forces opened fire on the crowd. After the firing, there was chaos on the spot and the injured were taken to the hospital.

Why are demonstrations happening?
Let us tell you that for the last several days, there is a movement going on in POK demanding cheap electricity, subsidized wheat-rice and our rights. Recently, the tension has increased further after the ban on Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC). The administration has made several arrests and internet services have also been shut down in some areas.

What did Sardar Aman Khan say?
Sardar Aman Khan, one of the main organizers of the protest, said from the stage that Pakistan Army has a history of killing Kashmiris of PoK. They did massacre in 1956, did it in 1990 and 1992 and are doing it even now but the Kashmiris of PoK will not show their back and take bullets on their chest.

India has strongly condemned this incident, calling it genocide and saying that it reflects the suppression of people’s rights in areas occupied by Pakistan. India has appealed to the international community to take cognizance of the matter and to Pakistan to respect the rights of the people.
