The situation in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) is becoming increasingly tense after the bandh and demonstrations that started this afternoon. In many areas including Rawalkot, Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bhimber, Dadyal, Palandri and Sudhnoti, thousands of people are taking to the streets and protesting against the Pakistani government and army and raising slogans for their freedom.

In Rawalakot, a large number of people took to the streets at 11 am and started protesting and blocked the entire main road. At the same time, Pakistani police, army and rangers have opened fire and released tear gas shells to stop the protesters moving from Bhimber towards Rawalkot. During this, pellet guns were fired in which at least seven people were injured.

In Kotli too, a large number of Kashmiris are taking to the streets and raising slogans and groups of protesters are marching towards Rawalakot. Also, a large crowd of protesters against the Pakistani army is visible on the streets in Dadayal.

Along with the protests, the effect of keeping the markets closed is also visible in the entire PoK, business establishments have been kept closed in many cities including Muzaffarabad, Rawalkot, Kotli, Bhimber and Dadyal and people are taking to the streets to protest against the Pakistani government and army.

In Palandri, protesters held tear gas shells that were fired by security forces to control the crowd and thousands remained on the streets raising slogans against Pakistani rule. In Sudhnoti also, people demonstrated with timber sticks in their hands and gave warning messages to the Pakistan government and army.

People protesting against 38 demands

Clashes have started between protesters and Pakistani security forces on Neelam Bridge in Muzaffarabad and pictures of firing are also coming out, after which the tension in the area has increased further. In fact, the people of PoK are protesting with a total of 38 demands, which include cheap electricity, flour, rice and pulses. The people of PoK say that Pakistan has installed hydroelectric power projects like Mangla Dam in PoK, which is not a part of Pakistan, so electricity should be provided to the people at low rates.

The people of PoK demand that 12 refugee seats in the Parliament of PoK should be removed. Actually, 12 seats in the Parliament of PoK are reserved for the so-called refugees who came from Kashmir in India to Kashmir in Pakistan and then currently live in different parts of Pakistan instead of PoK. Their demand is that how can people living in PoK become voters and MPs of these 12 seats. Also, every time on these 12 seats, Pakistan Army elects Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists and their family members who live in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Karachi. In such a situation, 12 out of 45 seats in the Parliament of PoK are occupied by the favorites of ISI and Pakistani Army. Whenever they want, they break the 11 members and get their Prime Minister made in PoK.

Munir sent the butcher of Lahore to PoK

Since last year, the Pakistani Army has been carrying out massacres of common people in PoK demanding their rights, the main reason for which is Brigadier Faiq Ayub, who is the sector commander of ISI in PoK and ever since Faiq Ayub came to PoK, the army has started a gruesome massacre in PoK. Before posting in PoK, Brigadier Faiq Ayub was Sector Commander Punjab, when he had carried out a massacre in Lahore due to which he was named ‘Butcher of Lahore’. Then last year, this same butcher officer was sent by Asim Malik and Asim Munir to run PoK, where he is continuously carrying out massacres and till 2 pm on June 9, in 8 months, 57 civilians have been gunned down by army bullets.

He said that that room is part of India and will have to be withdrawn. Bhagwat was speaking at an event held in Satna, where people played loud applause on his statement.

The situation sent us to this house, but those houses and these houses are not different. The whole of India is the same house, just a room in our house has taken possession. My tables, chair and clothes were kept there. Now the time will come when we have to take back the room.

There is protest in Pok

Bhagwat’s statement came at a time when people in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) have opened a front against Pakistani rule. For the last few days, thousands of local people have been on the streets under the banner of Awami Action Committee (AAC) and demanding economic relief and political reforms.

So far 10 people have died in the protests going on for three days, while more than 100 have been injured. Four protesters were shot dead by Pakistani security forces in Dhirkot (Bagh district). Apart from this, there have been reports of violence in Muazzafarabad, Dadayal (Mirpur) and Chamati (near Kohala).

‘India showed its courage and unity to the world’

Earlier on Thursday, Mohan Bhagwat had also emphasized the need to increase security capacity. He said that the international response to the Pahalgam terror attack showed who the true friends of India are.

He said, ‘This was an exam that who is with us on the global stage and how much supports us. The firm responding of India’s political leadership and the army proved the unity of the country, the fearlessness of leadership and the bravery of the army in front of the world.
