A big statement has come from the leader of Chief Minister Hemant Soren amid speculations of a major upheaval in the Jharkhand government. Putting an end to speculations about breaking of alliance between Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress, JMM leader Manoj Pandey has clarified the situation.

JMM leader Manoj Pandey has also responded to the ongoing political speculations after Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s visit to Delhi. In fact, regarding the visit of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana to Delhi, speculations had started that the JMM chief had gone there to meet the BJP high command. Speculations began to discuss the nexus between JMM and BJP in the upcoming elections.

When the Congress leader was questioned on this matter, state spokesperson Rakesh Sinha termed these speculations as baseless. He said that those who are thinking that there can be an alliance between JMM and BJP are wrong in their thinking.

Accusing BJP, Rakesh Sinha also claimed that all these rumors are being spread by BJP only to break the morale of the MLAs in Jharkhand. They do not have any official evidence regarding this. At the same time, the Congress leader claimed that India Alliance is strong in Jharkhand and Congress ministers under the leadership of Hemant Soren will continue to work for the development of Jharkhand.

BJP also rejected the speculations

Not only JMM or Congress, but BJP itself is calling such speculations as baseless that there can be an alliance between Hemant Soren and BJP. In Jharkhand’s Ghatshila assembly by-election, JMM’s Somesh Chandra Soren has defeated BJP’s Babulal Soren by a huge margin of 38,524 votes. While this election is a big victory for JMM, this result is a personal shock for senior party leader and former Chief Minister Champai Soren.

Champai Soren made it clear in his statement that his fight is bigger than electoral victory or defeat.

He said, “Our fight in Jharkhand is against the changing demography and conversion due to infiltrators, and to save the language, culture, tradition and existence of the tribal society.”

Accepting the defeat, he said, “I know that this path is very complicated, and there will be many obstacles in it, but we will not bow down. Calling victory and defeat a part of politics, Champai Soren said, “I clearly believe that elections will come and go, there will be defeat and victory, but our society should survive, our existence should survive, tribalism should survive, otherwise everything will end.”

He said in a warning tone, “The day we cannot protect the lands of the tribal community and the sons of the land, who have become minority in many districts including Pakur and Sahibganj, and the dignity of the daughters-in-law and daughters living there, that day we will be defeated.”

Reiterating his resolve, the JMM leader said that his struggle to protect the land and religious culture of the tribals and indigenous people of Jharkhand will continue and whenever there is atrocities on the tribals, they will continue to protest.
