In Noida, Ghaziabad and Greater Noida adjacent to Delhi, the level of air pollution has ranged from very poor to severe. Mist and smoke are visible everywhere in the sky since morning. It is so deep that even the sun’s rays have become blurred.

Noida-Ghaziabad became gas chamber

This smoke that dissolves in the breath is now having a negative impact on people’s health. Noida and Ghaziabad have come in the list of most polluted cities, in many areas the air quality index is above 400, which comes in the severe category of air, while at many places it is above 350.

On Friday morning, the air pollution level in Sector 125, Sector 116 and Sector 1 of Noida crossed 390 to 400. Similar is the condition of Vasundhara, Indirapuram, Sanjay Colony and Loni areas of Ghaziabad, here also the AQI level remains around 400. The air quality index in Meerut was recorded at 332 while the AQI in Greater Noida was recorded at 388.

Mercury dropped below 10 degrees in many districts

The Meteorological Department has predicted dry weather in both the western and eastern divisions of the state today, November 14. However, during this period, there is a possibility of shallow and moderate fog at some places in the morning. The fog will continue in the coming days also.

After November 17, there will be a slight reduction in fog but the weather is expected to remain dry. No warning has been given during this period. The minimum temperature in many districts has gone below 10 degrees. Kanpur was the coldest district of the state in the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature here was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature in Etawah, Fursatganj, Bareilly and Barabanki also fell below 10 degrees Celsius.

Air quality index reached near 350

According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality index of Varanasi district was recorded at 348 on November 12, which is the highest as compared to the previous days. Earlier on November 10 and 11, the air quality index was recorded at 280 and 296 respectively.

AQI of most of the urban areas of Varanasi is being recorded above 300, while AQI of Bhelupur was recorded at 439. Certainly, these figures are enough to show how much pollution has increased in the urban area of ​​Varanasi at present.

Pollution in severe category in Noida-Ghaziabad

The districts adjacent to Delhi are also in bad condition. AQI was recorded above 400 in Noida and Ghaziabad today morning on 13th November. AQI was recorded at 424 in Sector-125 of Noida, 399 in Sector-116 and 389 in Sector-1. Whereas AQI was recorded 412 in Loni area of ​​Ghaziabad, 409 in Vasundhara, 351 in Sanjay Nagar.

According to health experts, due to pollution in the district at this time, not only the patients but also the common people need to be extremely cautious. Asthma and respiratory patients should avoid going out in such conditions. Everyone must use a good mask while going out in urban areas. The weather has changed rapidly in the first week of November itself. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature will drop by 2-4 degrees Celsius in the next three-four days.

Ghaziabad becomes the most polluted city of the state

With winter in the cities of UP, the risk of air pollution has also increased. The air quality became worst in the districts adjacent to Delhi. Ghaziabad was the most polluted city on Tuesday 4th November. The level of air pollution in Loni area here reached 418, which falls in the ‘severe’ category. Whereas 390 AQI was recorded in Vasundhara area, 360 in Sanjay Nagar, 332 in Indirapuram.

The situation in Meerut is also not very good. Here in Ganganagar area, AQI 400 was recorded which falls in the very ‘severe’ category. Whereas 333 AQI has been recorded in Jai Bhim Nagar and 312 in Pallavapuram area, which falls in the category of ‘very poor’.

Stifling air in these districts of UP also

Apart from this, the level of air pollution was recorded at 372 in Hapur, 361 in Baghpat, 353 in Noida Sector-116, 340 in Sector-125 and 338 in Greater Noida. The effect of pollution along with winter has started becoming visible in Varanasi city also. Here the air quality index has reached close to 235, which is included in ‘poor’, AQI of most areas of Varanasi city was recorded above 200.

After Diwali, as winter has increased in the state, the impact of air pollution has also increased. There was some decrease in it in the last week, but now once again the level of pollution has increased rapidly. Which became a problem for the people. Children and the elderly are being affected the most. Due to pollution, people have also stopped taking morning walks.

Health experts have already advised people to stay away from polluted air and go out. Asthma, allergy and respiratory patients must adopt all preventive measures, especially while going out. Apart from this, common people should also use good masks while traveling in urban areas.
