The official said, “On seeing the footage, a man wearing a blue shirt and black trousers appeared on a bicycle at around 5.30 am. He was seen putting posters on an electric pole. Further analysis revealed the investigators that he was going to a flat on Sardar Patel Marg. A team of police reached the residence and found that the person living there is an employee of the Embassy of a Western European country.

He said, “The details of the person were noted, but due to diplomatic exemption, no further action was taken. Given the sensitive nature of the case and the diplomatic status of the person concerned, the Delhi Police decided to pursue the issue.

Case being settled at the highest level

Police sources said, “A detailed report was prepared and sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), which is expected to coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) to determine appropriate action.

At the same time, a source said, “The matter is being settled at the highest level. Senior officials of the New Delhi Range submitted a report to the police headquarters, which was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs later last week. ”He said that the reply is awaited by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
