Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Raval have created history with stormy centuries against New Zealand in the 2025 Women’s World Cup. For the first time, Indian openers have scored centuries in the ODI World Cup. This is the third time this has happened in women’s world cricket. Smriti Mandhana played a stormy inning of 109 runs in 95 balls. Whereas Pratika Rawal scored 122 runs. Both of them made a partnership of 212 runs for the first wicket.

For the first time in the history of Women’s ODI World Cup, both the openers scored centuries in the year 1973. When England’s opening pair Lynn Thomas and Enid Bakewell scored centuries. After this, this feat was repeated for the second time in 1988 by Australia’s Lindsay Reeler and Ruth Buckstein. Now after 37 years, Mandhana and Raval have created history by scoring centuries.
