South korea election: In the special presidential election held in South Korea on 3 June 2025, Liberal Democratic Party candidate Lee J-Mung, defeating Conservative candidate Kim Moon-Su and won by a big margin. So far, more than 85% of the counting of votes has been completed and Kim Moon-Su has accepted his defeat. This victory has not just a political change, but has become a symbol of a democratic renaissance.

Special election was needed in South Korea when former President Union Suk Yolle implemented martial law on 3 December 2024, which shook the foundation of democracy across the country. This was the first time after the restoration of democracy in South Korea in 1987, when a President tried to rule the army.

What happened before the election?
The opposition Democratic Party in South Korea led Lee J-Mung, who passed the impeachment motion against Yu in Parliament. In April 2025, the Constitutional Court removed Yu from the post. Criminal cases of misuse of treason and power started against him. Due to this political earthquake, it became mandatory to hold special elections in June 2025.

Election message of Lee J-Mung
Lee J-Mung called his election campaign “Nyaya’s Justice Day” and introduced the unanimous mentality, disregard of judicial institutions and suppression of the rights of the people. He said that this election is not just a change of power, but the return of public self -respect.

Public decisive mandate in favor of democracy
This special election led to more than 80% turnout, which is the highest since 1997. This shows that the public was tired of political instability. To protect democracy, landed at polling stations and Li J-Mung was united to choose a new leader. It was not only a vote but a collective rebellion and democratic movement.

Lee J-Mung priorities in South Korea
Before the election victory in South Korea, Lee J-Mung had said that he wants to end political polarization in the country. He will pay much attention to the economic revival. Working especially for youth and middle class will be the first priority. The way of peace and cooperation with North Korea will be searched. However, it will be interesting to see whether their policies can take South Korea in a new direction of stability, security and prosperity.

Kim Moon-Su congratulations, accept defeat
Kim Moon-Su, close to Youn Suk Yol and former Labor Minister, accepted his defeat and congratulated Lee for the victory. Kim Moon Su-Conservative was the candidate of the Peepal Power Party.

Trying to save democracy by raising walls
At the time of December 2024, when the then President Union Suk Jole announced to set up martial law in the country, opposition leader Lee J-Mung chose the adventure path of resistance. When the army banned the entry into the National Assembly, Lee tried to enter the Parliament by closing the wall. He made this entire incident live YouTube live, which went viral in a few hours. On the same day, voting was held in Parliament to cancel martial law.

Leaders made of struggles
The 61-year-old Lee J-Mung’s life began with conflicts and moved beyond principles. Childhood in poverty worked as a child laborer. He got a degree in law after studying himself. Started as a human rights lawyer. After this, the mayor of Sanganam and then Gyggi became the governor of the province

Defeat in 2022
Lee J-Mung lost in the 2022 presidential election, but did not back down from politics. He continued to raise public issues on Parliament and streets, leading the opposition. Meanwhile, his popularity, especially in the youth and lower-middle class, continued to grow.

Deadly attack is still not encouraged
During the Busan Yatra in January 2024, a person attacked his neck with a 7 -inch long knife on his neck on the pretext of autograph. He was airlifted and admitted to Seoul National University Hospital. Both his supporters and critics condemned the attack. This attack could not intimidate him, but strengthened his image.

Belarus President: Alexander Lakashnco, who is close to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and famous as the last dictator of Europe, has again sworn in as the President on Tuesday (March 25). Alexander Lakashenko has sworn in as the President of Belarus for the seventh time. After taking oath of presidency, Alexander Lakashnco made fun of the people calling themselves dictators, especially Western countries. He said, “Belarus has more democracy than those countries, which themselves consider its model.”

Lakashnco completed three decades in power

Belarus President Alexander Luakshhenko has completed his three decades in power last and called the election held on 26 January a befitting spectacle for his political opponents. At the same time, the Election Commission of Belarus announced that Lakhakhenko has won the election with about 87 percent of the votes. Let me tell you that in the presidential election, four perverse candidates were standing in front of him, who were considered to be a loyal person of Lakashnco and who has also praised Lakhakhenko’s rule in the country.

Protests against Lakashenko in 2020

In 2020, when Alexander Lakashnco won the presidential election, about 90 lakh people staged a widespread protest for several months, but it was brutally suppressed. At the same time, the President has put all the leaders of the opposition in jail or they are living in exile abroad.

More than 65 thousand people were arrested after the protest. Police beat thousands of people. Apart from this, independent media outlets and NGOs were also closed and even the ban was imposed. At the same time, after this step, Luxhanko was criticized by Western countries and had imposed many restrictions on Belarus.

Thousands of supporters were present in Lakhakhenko’s swearing in

Thousands of Alexander Luakshhenko supporters were present during the swearing -in ceremony on Tuesday (25 March). During this time, the President condemned his critics as foreign slaves.
