President Rule In Tamil Nadu: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court demanding a CBI investigation into the alleged horse trading and corruption case in Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. In the petition, a demand has been made to impose President’s rule in the state until the investigation is completed. KK Ramesh, resident of Madurai, has filed the petition. He alleged that TVK had obtained support from other MLAs through horse trading after the recent assembly elections. Recently TVK Chief C.Joseph Vijay has become the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

This PIL has been filed by KK Ramesh, a resident of Chennai. In this he has demanded a CBI inquiry against BJP. The Union of India, CBI and Tamil Nadu government have been made parties in the petition.

What is said in the petition?

It has been said in the petition that TVK had become the largest party in Tamil Nadu. But there was no majority to form the government. This time in the assembly elections, TVK surprisingly won 108 seats on May 4. The party emerged as the largest party in the state. After this, Congress, CPI, CPIM and IUML announced their support to Vijay’s party. After which Vijay took oath on May 10, and after this proved majority in the assembly.

Got support of 25 AIADMK MLAs in floor test

But the dispute arose over proving majority. When Vijay’s party proved majority in the assembly, everyone was surprised. 25 AIADMK MLAs supported TVK. Due to which the figure of TVK alliance crossed 144.

Congress joins Tamil Nadu cabinet after 59 years

Two Congress MLAs in Tamil Nadu will take oath as ministers in the government cabinet on Thursday. Congress MLAs Rajesh Kumar and P. Vishwanathan will be part of the Tamil Nadu government. With these MLAs, Congress is joining the cabinet of Tamil Nadu after 59 years.
