YouTuber Ali Mirza, with more than 31 lakh subscribers, has been caught under Pakistan’s Prevention of Prevention Act. Officials said that he was detained for 30 days under Section 3 of “maintaining public system” (MPO Ordinance) and later sent to jail. Religious organizations alleged that Ali Mirza made a disputed remarks about Prophet Muhammad, which hurt people’s sentiments. However, his supporters say that his words have been distorted. Mirza allegedly quoted the language of another community, but was made viral as his own thoughts.
