The e-requisition portal of Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has become active, with which the way has almost been cleared for the recruitment of more than 60 thousand teachers in the government schools of the state.

The Basic Education Department of the state has instructed the Basic Education Officers (BSA) of all the districts to upload the complete details of the vacant posts of teachers in their respective districts on the portal. As soon as this process is completed, further action related to recruitment can be started. It is believed that the department is working rapidly to fill the posts lying vacant for a long time.

According to reports, about 60 thousand posts of teachers are vacant in the entire state. Of these, 11,508 posts are in schools in urban areas, while about 48 thousand posts are lying vacant in schools in rural areas. Information about vacant posts in urban areas has already been sent to the Commission by the department. Now the data of posts in rural areas is also being uploaded on the portal. The most special thing about this recruitment is that the recruitment of teachers in rural areas is going to happen after a long time.

What is the age limit?

Talking about age limit, the minimum age of the candidate to apply for recruitment should be 21 years. The maximum age limit proposed is 40 years. OBC, SC, ST and women candidates native of Uttar Pradesh will be given relaxation of up to five years in the upper age limit. This will give a large number of candidates the opportunity to apply.

What will be the exam pattern?

Some important information has also come to light regarding the exam pattern. According to sources, this time some changes may be seen in the recruitment examination. The examination can be objective i.e. MCQ based. Candidates will be given four options of questions, out of which the correct answer will have to be selected. The duration of the exam is likely to be around two hours. It is being told that the examination can be conducted till September 2026, although its official confirmation will be given only after the release of recruitment notification.

Digital record will be ready

Special attention is also being given to making the recruitment process completely transparent. A digital record of all the vacancies will be prepared through the e-requisition portal, so that the exact number of posts and their status will be clear. This will increase transparency in the recruitment process and also reduce the possibility of any irregularities.
