Tension has once again increased on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. There has been heavy firing between the two countries on the Chaman border. Afghan officials said that four civilians have been killed in heavy firing from Pakistan.

According to the report of Al Jazeera, the Governor of Spin Boldak district of Afghanistan has also confirmed these deaths on Saturday (December 5, 2025). At the same time, there is information about the injured being brought to the district hospitals of Pakistan. However, Pakistan said that no one was killed in the firing.

Both sides are accusing each other of attacking first

Officials from both sides accused each other of firing on the border with Balochistan province on Friday (December 5, 2025). According to the report of Pakistani newspaper Dawn, Pakistani officials said that Afghan forces had fired mortars in Badani area. While Afghan Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid alleged that the attack on Spin Boldak was carried out by Pakistan. He claimed that his forces retaliated. Official sources in Pakistan told Dawn that Pakistani forces opened fire in response to the Afghan attack. Apart from this, there are reports of firing on Chaman-Kandahar highway, but these have not been confirmed yet.

A senior Quetta official, on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the firing started around 10 pm and continued till late night. Medical Superintendent of Chaman District Hospital said that three injured people including a woman have been brought to the hospital. Whereas no official statement has been issued by the Pakistan Army’s media wing ISPR or the Foreign Office in this regard.

Tension continued between the two countries last month also

Chaman Border is also known as Friendship Gate. It connects Balochistan province to Kandahar in Afghanistan. The two countries agreed to a ceasefire agreement following tensions last month, but Pakistan’s Foreign Office said last month that technically no ceasefire agreement is in force as it depends on the Afghan Taliban stopping terrorist attacks in Pakistan and it has failed to do so.

A big and shocking statement has come out from Pakistan regarding the car blast that took place outside the Red Fort of Delhi on November 10. Former ‘Prime Minister’ of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) Chaudhary Anwar-ul-Haq has claimed that Pakistan had a direct role in this blast. 15 people were killed and more than a dozen people were injured in this explosion.

Speaking in the PoK assembly, Anwar-ul-Haq said that if India spreads violence in Balochistan, Pakistan will respond from the Red Fort of Delhi to the forests of Kashmir. He said that ‘by the grace of Allah we have done this and our brave people have done it.’

Pakistan government’s response?
The Pakistan government has not yet given any official statement on this claim of Anwar-ul-Haq. However, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that the possibility of ‘full-scale war’ with India cannot be ruled out. On the other hand, amid increasing tension, Pakistan also said that its army is on ‘full alert’.

India said- Balochistan issue is an excuse
Pakistan has long been accusing India of spreading instability in Balochistan. India has always rejected these allegations and said that Pakistan uses such claims to divert attention from terrorist activities taking place on its own soil.

There are strings attached to Jaish-e-Mohammed
Investigation by Indian intelligence agencies has revealed that the car that exploded near the Red Fort was part of a plan prepared by a network directly linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed. The Hyundai i20 car was filled with ammonium nitrate based explosives and the entire conspiracy was orchestrated by members of Pakistan-backed terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. The investigation also revealed that the attack was planned by a 10-member group, ‘Terror Doctor Cell’.

This cell was being run by Maulvi Irfan Ahmed of Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, who is said to have direct links with Jaish. Irfan had associated with himself many doctors from Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad, Haryana and suicide bomber Dr. Omar Mohammad was also from the same college. Investigating officers said that all other members of this cell have been arrested.

American Donald Trump recently surprised everyone by announcing a historic trade agreement with Pakistan, while on the other hand he talked about imposing 25% tariffs and additional tariffs on India. It is clear from the timing of both these announcements that the Trump administration is adopting a new strategic pressure policy in South Asia.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked Trump for the agreement and described it as a step to expand the boundaries of permanent partnership. At the same time, India took cognizance of Trump’s statements and said that it is evaluating the effects and is committed to mutual beneficial trade agreement.

Oil and investment for Pakistan
Trump also spoke about an energy partnership with Pakistan in his Truth social post. He wrote that we have entered into an agreement with Pakistan, under which the two countries together will develop its huge oil reserves. It is going to be confused because there is not much practical information about Pakistan’s oil reserves. Experts believe that Pakistan may have oil sources in some limited areas, but they are still unknown for technical, financial and geopolitical reasons.

Trump’s pressure on India
A day earlier, Trump had announced a 25% tariff on all imports on India and additional fine on defense and energy agreements with Russia. He described India’s tariff as the world’s most rigorous and unpleasant and said that India would have to pay 25 percent tariffs and a fine for the above from 1 August. In addition, Trump described India’s membership in BRICS as part of the anti-America group and said that it is part of the US dollar attack. This comment directly questions India’s multilateral foreign policy and strategic autonomy.

The ruling party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has given a clear warning that if Imran’s sons are involved in any illegal or violent protests, they will be arrested. Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said in sharp words, “When Imran Khan was attacked, why did his sons not come to Pakistan? Now why is he suddenly reminding him of his father? PTI is using children as political pawns.”

Jemima’s retaliation- ‘Not politics, this is a personal revenge’

Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s ex -wife Jemima Goldsmith has made serious allegations against the government on social media. He said, “My children are not allowed to talk to their father. They have been in jail alone for two years. Now it is being said that if they come to Pakistan, they will be arrested. It is not politics, not a personal revenge,” he is not a personal revenge. ” Jemima also claimed that the government of Pakistan is preventing her sons from meeting her father.

PTI’s charge, Imran Khan kept in solitude

Imran Khan is currently lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail and according to reports he has been kept in solitude. PTI says that they are not being allowed to meet the family, even talk on the phone.

Imran’s sister Alima Khan said a few days ago that her nephews Suleman and Kasim would come to Pakistan to participate in the protest starting on August 5.

Will Imran’s son become the next political target?

The Prime Minister’s advisor Rana Sanaullah also said, “If Khan’s sons are found breaking the law, the government will not hesitate to take action against him.” The situation is indicating that after the arrest of Imran Khan, the movement which was cooled, can now catch fast once again.
