Meta launched the Incognito Chat feature on WhatsApp and Meta AI app on Wednesday (May 13). In this, whatever you talk to Meta AI, neither Meta nor anyone else will be able to see it. Everything will disappear as soon as the chat ends.

How does this feature work?

This feature is built on WhatsApp’s Private Processing Technology. When you start Incognito Chat, your conversation is processed in a secure environment that even Meta itself cannot see. As soon as the app is closed or the phone is locked, the session ends and the messages are automatically deleted. Nothing is saved.

Why has the feature been created?

WhatsApp chief Will Cathcart says that people have now started asking big and personal questions of life to AI. It is not necessary every time that the information behind those questions reaches the companies also. This feature has been created keeping this in mind.

Will work only in this format

At present Incognito Chat will work only in text. You will not be able to share any photo or document. It is also equipped with safety filters, which will refuse to answer wrong or dangerous questions. Meta has also clarified that the company can use normal Meta AI conversations to improve its models, but Incognito Chat is different from this and will not be used for training.

Meta is preparing to bring this feature also

Meta is also going to bring Side Chat feature in the next few months. In this, you will be able to silently take help from Meta AI in the middle of any ongoing conversation on WhatsApp and other people will not even know. This feature is currently being rolled out slowly and will be available to all users on WhatsApp and Meta AI app in the coming months.

Now no one will be able to add you to the group without asking. You can decide who can add you to groups – all, only your contacts or some chosen people. For this: Settings> Privacy> Groups and choose your choice.

Call from unknown number? Now the ring will not call

Calls coming from unknown number from this setting will become automatically silent. She will be seen in the call log but your phone will not ring nor vibrate. Go to turn on: Settings> Privacy> Calls> Silence Unknown Callers.

Use ‘View Once’ feature

If you want to show a photo or video just once, then use this feature. The media will disappear after seeing once and will not be forward. To use it, while sending the media, press the icon with “1” and then send it.
