Pro Kabaddi League 2025: Delhi team once again proved why it is called “Dabangg”. In the final of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 played at Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium, Dabang Delhi KC won the title for the second time by defeating Puneri Paltan 31-28 in a thrilling match. With this victory, Delhi has created history and equaled Patna Pirates and Jaipur Pink Panthers, who have become champions two or more times.

Delhi got a reward of crores of rupees

After this spectacular win, Dabang Delhi KC got a prize money of Rs 3 crore, while the runner-up Puneri Paltan was given a prize money of Rs 1.8 crore. Delhi captain Fazal Atrachali won the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. Whereas, Ayaan Lohkab became the Raider of the Season, and Navdeep got the Defender of the Season award.

Neeraj Narwal and Ajinkya Pawar became heroes

Neeraj Narwal (9 points) and Ajinkya Pawar (6 points) were the heroes of victory for Delhi in the final. Both of them made brilliant raids in times of pressure and gave the team the lead. However, Delhi’s star player Ashu did not look in rhythm in the beginning. Their account was not even opened for the first 10 minutes, but the pair of Neeraj and Ajinkya took the responsibility and gave the team the lead.

Delhi also performed strongly in defence. Fazal Atrachali sealed Delhi’s victory by dismissing Puneri’s star raider Aditya Shinde (10 points) in the last minute.

In the first half, Delhi had taken a lead of 14-8 by all-out Paltan, but Paltan tried to make a comeback with the help of a super tackle. In the third quarter, Puneri took the score to 25-28, but in the last overs, experience and patience gave victory to Delhi. Fazal’s last tackle and Ashu’s bonus point gave the team a three-point win.

This was the fourth match of this season between Delhi and Puneri and the special thing was that earlier three matches were tied between these two. This time the result came in the final, and that too in favor of Delhi.

With this victory, Joginder Narwal also created history. He has become the second person after Manpreet Singh to have won the Pro Kabaddi title both as captain and coach.
