To search on the portal, only basic information like name of the account holder, date of birth and PAN number has to be given. If a match is found in bank records. So the system shows the name and details of that bank. After this a claim can be made.

To claim the amount, the family has to submit necessary documents to the bank, such as identity card, address proof and if the account holder has passed away, death certificate. After verification, the bank transfers the money to the legal claimant.
