If someone does not link his PAN card with Aadhaar. So this can cause big trouble. According to government rules, without linking you will not be able to do many things with PAN card. The deadline for this work is 31 December 2025.

If till then PAN card is not linked to Aadhaar. So first of all it will become inactive. This means that you will not be able to use it for any work. Income tax related work, opening bank accounts, making big transactions or making any investment, everything will stop.

PAN card also plays an important role in investment. Mutual fund, stock market, or any kind of security investment is not possible without PAN. If your PAN is not linked to Aadhaar. So you won’t be able to invest either. Your investment accounts will also not be able to operate.

Without this, there is difficulty in filing ITR. You cannot file your ITR with an inactive PAN. There are delays in refunds and sometimes returns also get rejected. Due to this many people have to do the entire process again.

The process of linking PAN and Aadhaar is easy. This can be done online and is completed in a few minutes. Just go to the Income Tax e-filing portal. Enter your PAN, Aadhaar and the requested information. And deposit late fee of Rs 1000. After linking, PAN becomes active again.
